Twas excellent cloak weather on the 11th day of November in the year 2000, and both Captain Gareth and Lady Mary take full advantage of it. This was perfect festival weather indeed...unless you perchance were a barbarian or chainmail girl. The Man at Arms travelled in a separate coach to escort Maid Glenda to festival. Maid Glenda went in gypsy dance garb. She turned the heads of many a traveler male.  Like many gypsies, she did not wish to have her picture taken, but she took the best Flemish painting of our group.

I was searching for the seamstress Janet Meyer of Valentine Armoury. I had hoped for her to measure me for my new festival clothes, but I always seemed to miss her.

Twas Nii and Lady Fae Cynthia's first time to travel in festival clothing. Nii had to requisition garb from Sir Richard but he looked the very part of Robin Hood's merry men. We must acquire for him a bow and quiver. The pheasant feather in his hat brushed across many a face whenever he turned his head. Lady Fae Cynthia wore a white dress she had borrowed from the school and borrowed a green overdress from Sir Richard. We saw another woman wearing the same green dress but with the yellow underdress from Museum Replicas. Lady Fae Cynthia's white dress was better. Now why our supply officer would have a female wardrobe is beyond me.  He is not wed.  Perhaps left behind by one of his many wenches.

As we watch the joust, I overhear a traveller behind me. "These guys are serious" he says of the main-gauche I have slung in the small of  my back.

From right to left,  Don Rodrigo, Master Nii, Sir Richard and Lady Fae Cynthia.

Sir Richard, Lady Fae Cynthia and Master Nii watch as Sir Brian makes long and painstaking selection of a pair of satyr horns at a shoppe adjacent to the Cursing Well.
Tis time to leave. Everyone purchases their bags of candied almonds and...

And so ends another year of festival...
