Ruined Palace
 

The now-ruined Maruhubi Palace was built in 1882 for Sultan Barghash of Oman, who ruled in Zanzibar from 1870 until 1888. In the palace, the sultan kept 99 concubines and one official wife. Several Arab palaces remain on Zanzibar.
