Housing Indoors
Guinea Pigs are not picky when it comes to housing, but there are a few things that they need. The size of the home is very important. A single Guinea Pig should have a floor space of 16x32 inches and its bedding pan should be 4 to 6 inches deep. This is to prevent bedding spilage. When your pet wants to go to sleep it will need some kind of roof over its head to be happy. You can buy a shelter for it at a pet shop. Their are lots of kinds of bedding you can buy, and most will work, But you should never use cedar shavings.

Housing Out Doors
Gardens and Lawns can make a great home for a Guinea Pig. You can buy outdoor habbitats already made or make one yourself. An outdoor habbitat mut have protection from all their natural enemys. Strong sides will keep Guinea Pigs in and rats out. A wired top will provide protection from cats and birds of prey. Their should be a place where there's shade from the sun. and a place to hide. Make sure theirs a water bottle and even though theirs grass that the Guinea Pigs can eat put some hay in their also.
