Incumbent District 9 Horry County Councilman. Recently retired. Formerly owner-operator of a convenience store and small automobile dealership. Previously parts and service manager for a Ford dealership in Loris; built and sold several spec homes and the convenience store that he still leases. Volunteer Fireman and First Responder for Loris (39 years), Member: Civitan (13 years), Loris Booster Club (42 years), Junior Chamber of Commerce, First Baptist Church of Loris. Previously served on the Horry County Council from 1982 to 1992. Volunteer football, basketball and baseball coach. Certified football and basketball official. Horry County native. Loris High School graduate lettering in all four sports. His motto: "Service to humanity is the best work of life."
Loris realtor and appraiser. Member of the Horry County Planning Commission
He says: "I believe that two high-growth areas in the district [9] are Longs and the Highway 9 and 57 vicinity. I want to ensure that the focus remains strong in this part of the county, to ensure the high standards of any development, and that the quality of life is not negatively affected for residents."
