2/4/06 Saddam's WMD "Mr. Sada's is only the most recent of a series of accounts by people in a position to speak with authority who say (some of) Saddam's chemical and biological weapons wound up in Syria." Click here for the article which lists seven other credible sources supporting Mr. Sada's contention. The belief that the lack of WMD discovery was meaningful has always been ludicrous, to me. Biological and chemical weapons are too easily hidden by a regime with just such a history.

2/3/06 Senate intel chair backs domestic spying. "Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Pat Roberts said Friday the Bush administration's domestic spying is within the president's inherent power under the Constitution, and he rejected criticism that Congress was kept in the dark about it. The program is 'legal, necessary and reasonable,' the Kansas Republican wrote. . . Vice President Dick Cheney said exposing the effort has done 'enormous damage to our national security.' The New York Times revealed the program's existence in December."  Click here for this article. Click here to see how clearly history repeats itself.

2/2/06 Lest we Let History Repeat Itself. -- from A History of the American People: "The second reason why America turned against the war was not so much editorial criticism as tendentious presentation of the news. . . . Once the TV presentation of the war became daily and intense, it worked on the whole against American interests. It generated the idea that America was fighting a 'hopeless' war." Click here.

1/13/06 The brainbox and the blowhards. "TED KENNEDY is deeply troubled by the ethics of the Supreme Court nominee. Between 2001 and 2006, Samuel Alito, who is currently an appeals court judge, accepted $7,684,423 in “donations” from special interests who perhaps wanted the law tweaked in their favour. That included $28,000 from defence contractors, $42,200 from drug firms and a whopping $745,373 from lawyers and law firms. No, wait. Those are Senator Kennedy's conflicts of interest"  Click here for the article.

1/8/06 Saddam's Terror Training Camps THE FORMER IRAQI REGIME OF Saddam Hussein trained thousands of radical Islamic terrorists from the region at camps in Iraq over the four years immediately preceding the U.S. invasion, according to documents and photographs recovered by the U.S. military in postwar Iraq. The existence and character of these documents has been confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD by eleven U.S. government officials.

1/8/06 "It is increasingly clear that IPSOS, a French polling company with close ties to the French leadership is producing polls for AP designed solely to allow them to run editorials in the guise of news stories. The samplings are widely out of line; the questions off the mark, and the results not surprisingly advance a Democrat point of view obviously shared by AP."  Click here for this American Thinker article.

1/6/06 The press hates to report straightforwardly, but the economy is roaring. Everything is Bush's fault; if this happened during a Democratic administration, the media would trumpet the news as credit for that administration. Click here for a report including stock market advances and historically low unemployment.  Other countries wish they were doing half as well. 1/6/06  False blame in the mining disaster.  "A rock in the pathway that someone could trip on is a violation. All the fuss is from some of the same people that complained about intelligence agencies not "connecting the dots" before 9/11.

An authoritative memo during the Clinton administration by Clinton's Deputy Attorney General, Jamie Gorelick, was instrumental in the wall between intelligence agencies that was a prime cause for those pre-9/11 intelligence gaps -- some allege to protect the Clinton campaign's dealing with the Chinese for illegal campaign contributions.  On the other hand she made a case for Clinton's presidential authority to make warrantless searches, see below.

12/18/05 Some Dare Call it Treason: “This is a highly classified program that is crucial to our national security. Its purpose is to detect and prevent terrorist attacks against the United States, our friends and allies. Yesterday the existence of this secret program was revealed in media reports, after being improperly provided to news organizations. As a result, our enemies have learned information they should not have, and the unauthorized disclosure of this effort damages our national security and puts our citizens at risk. Revealing classified information is illegal, alerts our enemies, and endangers our country.”

12/17/05 The "New York Slimes" times baseless charges on spying to push the joyous news of the Iraqi vote off the front pages (where that vote turnout, in face of murderous threats, belongs) -- it's more important to stop possible credit to Bush regardless of aid to our enemies. The rest of the main stream media (and others) follow in lock step.  Whenever  international telephone calls to American citizens were deemed too urgent not to intercept, the administration immediately informed the proper congressional members and then appropriate judges. Those informed included disingenuous Nelson Rockefeller now rising to attack.  Click here for more.  The timing of the Slimes release is also deemed to have influenced the Senate's unwise vote not blocking a filibuster against extension of the  "Patriot Act."  Click here for that report.

12/06/05 The 4,723rd Reason To Be Thankful Bush Won: Headline from Lucianne.com.
"And there is no reason that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not--Iraqis should be doing that. - John Kerry - Face the Nation - December 4, 2005

But another Democrat also 'changed the debate' on the war this week. And while Senator Joe Lieberman’s (D-CT) statements have been grossly—and deliberately—underreported, they are vital for the future of Iraq."

11/22/05 Scalia raps Gore for 2000. Click here for the article. "The election was dragged into the courts by the Gore people. We did not go looking for trouble. The issue was whether Florida's Supreme Court or the United States Supreme Court [would decide the election.] What did you expect us to do? Turn the case down because it wasn't important enough?"  This is another Democrat canard aided and abetted by the media that "accidentally" reported a premature Gore win in Florida thereby discouraging voters in the heavy Republican panhandle (and elsewhere).  The media then tried desperately, repeatedly and unsuccessfully to find that the rest of the Florida vote went to Gore.

11/22/05 Boortz's site has several interesting comments, today.  Click here and scroll down to read Teddy Roosevelt's telling 1907 quote on what an American is, CNN getting by with the X it repeatedly placed over Vice President Cheney's face as a "technological malfunction" (imagine the media outcry if there were an X over any leftist's face on Fox News), the "Different Perspective" section noting Chris Matthew's view that U.S. enemies aren't evil, they just have "a different

perspective," and more.

11/21/05 Isn't the left's slogan more applicable to "they (rather than Bush) lied, people died?"  Bush did not lie, but the out-and-out repeated lies claiming he lied with regard to the Iraq war:

1. Encourage terrorists;

2. Discourage Iraqi's from putting their lives on the line in support of democratic reform;

3. Discourage our military.

11/18/05 Republicans Question Timing of Dems' Call for 'Surrender.'  Terrorists take heart!  America is a paper tiger that does not have the heart to stay the course.  It will win militarily every time, but if you make enough fuss and kill enough innocents, you can count on the Democrats, added and abetted by the main stream media, to do their best to convince Americans to back down (surrender).  Click here for the original article.

11/6/05 George W. Bush is one of the greatest U.S. presidentsHe is an honest, decent man of great personal integrity.  He and his administration including, Vice President Cheney, Secretary of State Condaleeza Rice and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, have made possible a roaring national economy that, starting from a recession, pours historic revenues into the treasury despite the costs of the war on terror some of the most disastrous hurricanes in the nation's history.

It has, without a draft, won two wars with the least collateral damage and the fewest casualties of any comparable war in U.S. history.  It has overthrown murderous regimes and increases our long-term security by leading the democratization of two countries in the Middle East.  It has led the improvement of Medicare with a prescription drug program and many compassionate programs including enormous aid to foreign tsunami and earthquake victims and an unprecedented $1.1 billion dollars to fight AIDs in Africa. 11/4/05 Press and democratic leaders continue ridiculous accusations. Even in Argentina, they accuse the president of bending intelligence reporting and misleading the American people on Iraq.  The press and democratic leaders were even stronger than he on the Iraqi menace during the Clinton administration -- and yes, Clinton, too.  Are we to believe that Bush was shaping intelligence reporting even during the Clinton administration?  And that he controlled the rest of the world's intelligence reporting too?  Unfortunately if the accusations are piled on often enough, some will believe.

11/4/05 Wilson's own report confirms the following quote although he later made contradictory statements as well as saying he was sent to Niger by Vice President Chaney although he was sent by the CIA on the recommendation of his wife.  The Senate Committee investigating the affair unanimously signed a report saying Wilson lied.  But never mind.  You will never get it straight from the old media.

10/25/05 Final tally on votes in.  Iraqi Constitution approved!  Click here for the original New York Times article.  This is important news.  But it confirms the Bush administration's vision is on schedule.  Maybe that is why I have not yet heard the other "old" media trumpeting this story.  Or maybe its the New York Times credibility?  In case you hadn't heard: the vote for the constitution was even higher than the overwhelming earlier vote, and that the violence was ten times less.

10/25/05 More answers to the ridiculous allegation that Bush lied about WMD.  Those with any knowledge and responsibility know that all the world's intelligence agencies were convinced that IRAQ had WMDs.  Click here for the record of the media supporting this during the Clinton administration.  Those of us paying any attention at all know that Clinton himself believed this as did many other Democrats trying to rewrite history now -- not to say that any of these were wrong.

10/21/05 DeLay in first court appearance seeks a new judge.  Click here for the original article.  In case you haven't followed all this: the prosecutor, Ronnie Earle, has a history of indicting conservatives, including Democrats -- when Democrats were essentially all there were in Texas.  A few years ago, he indicted Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Republican U.S. Senator from Texas ("a prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich," because grand juries hear the prosecutor's side with no opposition).  The presiding judge threw out that case when it went to court.  He recently indicted Republican U. S. House whip, Tom DeLay, first, for violating a Texas law which did not exist at the time he was supposed to have violated it.  That, of course, did not hold up.  Then failing to indict DeLay on substituted money laundering and conspiracy charges with one grand jury, he was successful with a second.  DeLay's lawyers are seeking charges of prosecutorial misconduct against Mr. Earl.  DeLay had to step down as majority whip until cleared of the indictment's charges.

"Rumors supplanted accurate information and media magnified the problem. Rapes, violence and estimates of the dead were wrong. . . . Indeed, Mayor C. 9/12/05 If you haven't gathered, I have been infuriated at the media in its rush to get Bush, as usual, on the Hurricane Katrina response.  Even Fox News took a few days to get the story straight, and even now, it is amazing how uninformed some of its supposedly informed commentators remain.  Of course, we don't expect nice guy, articulate, pontificating at length, partisan to the point of being dense, Juan Williams to get it right -- but others there . . . ?  Fortunately, the true picture has started  to surface, even in the main stream media.  Read "The Federal Response was not as it was portrayed" article from the Pittsburg Post Express, by clicking hereIts bottom line is that the Hurricane Katrina relief effort was "the most monumental and successful disaster relief operation in world history." Many of the comments from the general public on this article are refreshing (click here).

9/9/05 FEMA director, Michael Carter, has been recalled to Washington.  The media, Democrats and others calling for his head should be pleased.  Carter was the FEMA director through four Florida hurricanes, among the six most costly in U.S. history.  A major complaint against FEMA there was its too rapid misplaced relief payments to Miami-Dade county.

However Carter wasn't used to trying to coordinate (FEMA's job is to coordinate local governments) total incompetents, foremost being the Louisiana governor.  Congress putting FEMA, in line with the 911 commission's recommendations, under one more level of bureaucracy, the Office of Homeland security, was no help.  But never mind, he was a lightning rod and has, apparently, been pushed to "fall on his sword."

9/8/05 Money Flowed to Questionable Projects headlined Washington Post article today, third paragraph: "In Katrina's wake, Louisiana politicians and other critics have complained about paltry funding for the Army Corps in general and Louisiana projects in particular. But over the five years of President Bush's administration, Louisiana has received far more money for Corps civil works projects than any other state, about $1.9 billion; California was a distant second with less than $1.4 billion, even though its population is more than seven times as large."

9/06/05 Fox News and Rush have finally brought to light the two items covered here on 9/04 and 9/05.  Fox News finally showed the 9/04 photo last night.  Apparently, although widely published on the Internet, it received little such by the conventional media.  The conventional media, the Democrats, and the left have focused on blaming the Bush administration.

President Bush had to beg the New Orleans mayor and the Louisiana governor to issue evacuation orders and request military aid respectively.  These actions were clearly the responsibility of  local governments; the governor must request troops before the federal government is allowed to intervene. Both actions were still incomprehensibly delayed as was the governor calling up the Louisiana National Guard.

Today Rush read from the New Orleans disaster plan that clearly identifies the central  local role and  responsibility as were the detailed actions required of them.  The local governments completely failed to exercise their responsibilities; the 9/2 item illustrates just one example.

Once allowed in, the military did an amazing job.  FEMA performed promptly and admirably.  Aid from surrounding states and the American public at large is huge and growing.  The states of Mississippi and Alabama have performed well in the face of their overwhelming disasters.

Disaster performance can be improved at all levels, but the extensive blame put on the Bush administration is ridiculous.  Louisiana's performance, as a whole, was disgraceful.

9/04/05 WHY DIDN'T YOU DEPLOY THE BUSES DURING THE MANDATORY EVACUATION, MAYOR?... New Orleans officials and Louisiana's governor have done little but sit back, await federal aid and bitterly claim that it was slow and inadequate. (See 9/5/05 above for more detail, headline and below from Drudge Report)

Aerial view of more than 200 buses

Louisiana disaster plan, pg 13, para 5 , dated 01/00
'The primary means of hurricane evacuation will be personal vehicles. School and municipal buses, government-owned vehicles and vehicles provided by volunteer agencies may be used to provide transportation for individuals who lack transportation and require assistance in evacuating'...

9/3/05 New Orleans is secured by this evening and the Superdome is evacuated as well as an overall massive evacuation with bus convoys and military aircraft.  New Orleans historic buildings are largely intact.  But many outside the city and state remain trapped in their homes despite thousands rescued by helicopter.  Media attention and help diverted by New Orleans is starting to get focused elsewhere, such as on the extensive flooding and damage in cities as well as the less heavily populated areas in the state of Mississippi. There are heart-warming stories there of rescue as well as cooperative clean up among the victims themselves.

9/2/05 Media complaints about the Bush administration response to Hurricane Katrina abound although its actions have been prompter and help more massive than that for any other U.S. national disaster in history.  Individual and company contributions are similarly skyrocketing.  Gulf state government efforts excepting Louisiana are moving rapidly.  Louisiana government officials instead complain about the federal government.

Communications have been limited because of the loss of power and logistical problems have been massive so victims do not see the big picture.  The media does, but it reports isolated uninformed perceptions as gospel.  The logistical problems are a maximum in the sustained New Orleans flooding.  In prior years, New Orleans city government did not spend federal government funds designated for levees for levees.

According to published reports (since discredited [10/2/05]), a disgraceful New Orleans remnant loots, murders and rapes throughout the city.  National guardsman are beginning to restore order.  Click here for more reports.

Comment: looting of anything, except, possibly food, should be routinely met everywhere by spraying looters with BB or rock salt loaded shotguns.  Injuries would be minimized while looting would stop.

8/8/05 The Ryan - Sununu social security reform bill in the U. The re-emerged Wilson is now accusing the senators of 'smearing' him. I eagerly await the end of this investigation when I may be able to correct other misinformation about me and the case."

7/29/05 Walter E. Williams said it right today as to judicial selections.  He noted that the proper criterion was whether a justice could read, not "what side is he on," noting that Amendment 5 of the U. S. Constitution concludes with "nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation" (emphasis added), not for another's private use as the U.S. Supreme Court recently held (see 6/26/05 below).  He said the obvious, that you don't ask an umpire what his baseball philosophy is.  You don't ask what side he is on.  You judge whether he can call strikes and balls fairly (strikes and balls as defined by the rule book).  An umpire doesn't have the right to change the rules as he sees fit.  The founders wisely provided procedures for changing of the constitution in the constitution -- via the people's elected representatives, not by judges or justices.  In that sense only was it meant to be, or should it be, a "living document."

6/28/05 President Bush to Address the Nation at 8 p.m. Tonight.  We can count on Fox News to air it.  Rush says only one national network will.  Apparently it has been little covered in the main stream print media, not in the probably pre-printed Sun News "TV Book," and not in today's Sun News -- its "Tuesday's Best Bet's" recommends "Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back" on NBC for 8.p.m.

Whether tongue in cheek or not, Rush today tells of a commercial consortium wanting to build a "Lost Liberty Hotel" on property with a beautiful view that is currently the home of Justice Souter.  According to the recent Supreme Court decision (see 6/23 below), approval of 3 out of their 5 elected selectmen will be adequate to condemn the property so they can build the hotel.  Similarly amusing, Rush talked of 40 shots ringing out in north and south Chicago recently wondering whether this would cause Senator Kennedy to want to pull out -- of Chicago.

6/22/05 Durbin's latest non-apology is simply an apology for offending some.  Republicans graciously accept his apology for a statement on Senate floor, unlike Democrats who drummed Republican Trent Lott out of a leadership role for a statement making nice to Strom Thurmond at his 100th anniversary birthday party -- despite five apologies.  Republicans then joined in criticism.  In contrast, no leading Democrat. including former Klansman leader, Senator "sheets Byrd,"  criticized Durbin.

3/5/05 U. S. Forces  fire on a convoy racing towards a checkpoint wounding freed Italian journalist, Guiliana Surena and killing an Italian secret service agent when soldiers fired at the engine block after frantically waving their hands, flashing lights and firing warning shots, according to a Fox News report.

3/7/05 update: Two days after a front page headline "U.S. troops open fire on allies in Iraq" and a lengthy "Washington Bureau" story mentioning only part of the U. S. military statement on page 2  that the driver had approached the checkpoint "at a high rate of speed," The Sun News gave the rest of the military statement on the flashing lights on page 3A under a headline that the Italian journalist (for a communist newspaper that supports the insurgents) disputes the U.S. account.

Comment: Given the suicide car bomb attacks in the area, the soldiers would have been foolhardy not to, at the least, disable the vehicle.  Surena was wounded by the resulting shrapnel.  Of the "old" media, Reuters, at least, put the shooting in some perspective earlier (click here).

2/21/05 "Have you ever noticed how the left -- including the partisan press -- simply does not mention Afghanistan. That is because it is a remarkable success. This is the same country the New York Times labeled a 'quagmire' three weeks after we went to war on the Taliban Oct. 7, 2001. Three years later, after this infant democratic nation adopted its constitution, [Afghan President Hamid] Karzai said, 'I pray to God the Almighty that this constitution will lead to building a civil society and achievement of economic, political and cultural prosperity for all and ensure peace, equity and brotherhood within the Afghan nation.' This was reported not by the New York Times, or by any American journalist, but by Xinhuanet, the China news service.

"Now between 3.5 million and 4 million Afghan refugees have returned to their country, its economy is growing, and Afghanistan is taking its place among the community of nations. ... But you will not hear Ted Kennedy or John Kerry breathe a word this. The Democrats, the left in this country, cannot possibly admit progress in the spread of democracy. They cannot do so because lately such progress has come about over their ferocious objections."  -- NewsMax's quote of Rush from the January 2005 Limbaugh Letter,  "Rush's must-read monthly newsletter"

It is good to see someone doing something about the apparently rampant single-sided left wing indoctrination in many American colleges.  An organized campaign to ensure more American history, American values and American ideals are included in K-12 text books would be even better.

2/17/05 Today's Sun News "Greenspan Endorses Bush Idea" headline on the president's social security proposal was welcome seldom-heard praise from a member of the media.  The proposed private accounts empower poor people. Unlike the current practice of tapping social security taxes for other government uses, the private account plan returns will be individuals' own  money  that they can use as they see fit, including passing it on to heirs. The media research center reports "A night after ABC's World News Tonight centered a story around how a couple of GOP back benchers oppose President Bush's Social Security reform plan, the newscast on Wednesday . . . ignored Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's revelation to a Senate committee that he "approves" of creating private accounts. NBC and CBS briefly noted Greenspan's endorsement, but NBC excitedly hyped President Bush's comment that he would consider raising the income subject to the Social Security tax . . . ."

1/30/05 Historic Day for Freedom. Hats off to the heroic Iraqis, men and women, who walked miles and stood in long lines to vote under threats of murder.  The heroism of the estimated 500 in Mosul and even less in some areas -- although representing much smaller percentages than the overall estimated 72% of registered voters -- voted under overwhelming threats and deserve the utmost respect. 1/24/05 Proposed social security changes will not affect  those near retirement or current recipients.   Younger people are overwhelmingly for this proposal which allows them to put a quarter of the payroll taxes they pay into social security into investments they will then own and will even be able to pass on to their heirs -- unlike the current system which puts those taxes into the general fund, at best yields low returns when it does pay, and, all sources agree, can not be sustained as it stands, for more than a few decades without further raising payroll taxes or lowering benefits.

Comment: Why is social security a problem when Democrats are in power but not when the Republicans try to do something about it?  The AARP should bug out. It does not have a dog in this fight other than its leadership's left-leaning Democrat Party bias.  If the Democrats have a better plan, let's hear it.

1/24/05 "So just who is blocking the full Senate vote on Condoleezza Rice's secretary of state nomination? Why none other than the Grand Wizard of the KKK himself, Robert Byrd. Can you imagine if a white Republican who had been a former Klansman was blocking the nomination of a black liberal Democrat to be secretary of state? We would never hear the end of it....but the left-leaning media ignores this almost entirely." (Lifted in its entirety from the Neal Bortz web page, http://boortz.com/nuze/index.html)

1/05/05 Comment: We must not encourage an Iraqi election delay as some suggest. There is no reason to believe violence would diminish if elections are delayed. We think we have problems now.  We would have more if the Shiite majority were to retaliate in a civil war before an elected Iraqi state is in place. Then we need to remove every possible reasonable perception of ongoing U.S. control and let the Iraqis work out their own destiny under a government of their majority's choosing.  If the Sunnis choose not to participate in the election process and are even less represented, that is their choice

12/30/04 U.S. donations in 2004 exceeded more than 40% of the rest of the world.  Yet the discredited/once-great New York Times joins other anti-American sources in belittling our contributions. Americans are, by far, the most generous people in the world.

At this point we have moved 13 ships, aircraft and troops in to help relief in the tsunami struck areas.  President Bush has, so far, organized a coalition with Australia, Japan and India to help.

Comments: Given the U.N. Iraq oil-for-food scandal, we would be foolish to route funds through the U.N.  The world would be better served to divert our U.N. dues to the tsunami victims.  We could unearth even more funds for them from the profits we could glean from the valuable N.Y. real estate we could free up if we ejected the U.N.

BTW:  How much have Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries done to help their fellow Muslims. The New York Times?  France, so far, miniscule.

12/28/04 Many soldiers in Iraq have consistently given toys to Iraqi children.  Recently a long line of military vehicles came to an abrupt halt.  Upon receiving a radio demand for an explanation, those in the lead explained that there was a small child in the middle of the road who would not move.  They were ordered to simply go around the child; there was room  They did, but a following vehicle stopped and a soldier got out to see if the child was all right.  He found the little girl holding a teddy bear in her arms that he recognized as one of those they gave to children.  She pointed to a land mine in the road that the vehicles would have run over if she had not sat in front of the trucks.   -- reported by radio host, Roger Hedgecock.

12/21/04 Twenty of the 830 vehicles were not armored; these were armored within 24 hours of the highly publicized question to Rumsfeld -- General Speakes' statement concerning the unit of the the soldier who asked the question.  A story is circulating that an investigation is underway to check the stamps on letters to American casualties to ascertain whether or not they have Rumsfeld's DNA :>)

12/18/04 The media has chosen to focus on Rumsfeld's closing remarks which appeared dismissive even though he had responded in greater detail  to the armor question.  The troops' prolonged standing ovation at the close of the conference is largely unreported.  Many backbiting second-guessers are put-off by Rumsfeld's  blunt plain-speaking style.  He has won two wars while plagued by misleading intelligence "information."

12/12/04 Leadership has given inadequate attention to armoring of vehicles in Iraq against road bomb attacks, especially those associated with reserve units.  Trucks in Iraq, although not normally considered military vehicles are among those that have clearly required armor protection installations urgently, given the nature of post-war attacks.  Whether or not intended as another instance of media partisan anti-administration "gotcha," the question will result in needed urgent action

12/10/04 The whole premise of the "news" reporter put-up question to Rumsfeld by the soldier is false.  Vehicles not yet armored are transported by truck to areas on which the armor is installed.  Soldiers do not dig in the trash for armor.  Source: letters from soldiers to the lady who organized the private air conditioner fund for troops, as reported on the radio by Rush Limbaugh (not Dan Rather).

11/23/04 U.S. Representatives Sensenbrenner and Hunter objections to the currently proposed legislation on intelligence reforms:  Sensenbrenner strongly objects to the scuttling of measures to prevent illegals from getting drivers licenses and to make it easier to deport suspected terrorists.  Hunter objects to putting bureaucrats between the military and satellite intelligence supporting combat troops. 12/08/2004 Update: The bill has been changed to Mr. Hunter's satisfaction and appears to be on its way to approval.  Mr. Sensenbrenner vows to continue to get his objections (also having been recommended by the 9/11 commission) incorporated into subsequent law.

11/22/04 The buddy of the marine who shot  the wounded Iraqi after someone said he was not dead was killed the day before by an Iraqi faking death.  The marine shot the Iraqi immediately following a heated battle.

Compare this to the blonde female body found by an Iraqi road with her arms and legs cut-off and her throat slit.  Or compare it with the capture and cold-blooded execution, by Iraqi terrorists, of a female CARE worker who had dedicated 30 years of her life to helping the Iraqi people.
