It's crucial to know...
1. Where to advertise
2. What advertising is working and what's NOT!
Ok... There are Four types of advertising...
1. Pay-Per-Click
2. Ezine Advertising
3. Traffic Exchange's
4. Banner Advertising
These are the only ones you need to EVER USE. Do not waste your time of anything else, you are throwing money away... I will prove this to you in a second.

Pay-Per-Clicks

Targeted, only pay when you get a hit! This is the best
advertising you MUST DO THIS!
Everyone knows Overture. ONLY get an Overture Pay-Per-Click. I have had only bad luck with any other ones.

Choose a genertic word about your product or service.
Click on the bid tool and type in that word. Look at the list and see which phrase is searched a lot and choose that one.
Add this word to your listing. When you type in a description use specifics. I even mention the price. This needs to be this way for only the most qualified user. Bid HIGH on this keyword.
If it costs .50 cents a hit this is fine as long as you are having sales and this is the only advertising you use!
Do these steps over and over on many different keyword. The Description should tell The price of the product and as much vital information as needed along with the choosen word or phrase you used.

Solo ads work the VERY BEST!!!... Top sponsor ads are second... Don't waste any money anywhere else!
Your ad will not be noticed much unless you use the above two ads.
Make an ad:
Solo ad should be a trimmed down version of your entire website. One page is enough. Do it in sales letter form.
Include a Contact and website link.
Top Sponsor ad:
5 lines 55 characters per line ads...Arouse Curiousity, offer a guarantee..
Something like:
Incredible, FREE System brings in the cash!
---------> Start today FREE, click here. (insert your link)
You want as many people to click on the ad as possible.
Traffic Exchanges:
Cheap and you get at least minimum respose rate of 1%.
You can buy 5000 credits for around $20 and at 1% return of 50 signups/sales this makes it worthwhile as long as you are charging .50 cents or more per sale! This includes everyone :)
Simply put in your websites URL and it goes for you. This is great because it's no maintance. It's just a lot of trffic. You better be sure to have a pop-up or way to opt-in... You will get a decent signup rate very quickly!
Banner Advertising:
You should do some sort of banner advertising. I use banner exchanges and put a link to theirs WAY DOWN at the bottom.
I don't want anyone to be distracted from MY website. Using these in conjunction with the Traffic Exchanges this also gets you 5000 FREE banner impressions..
I only use text banners.. With a fake drop down box and a fake submit/click here/ok/yes/no button.
I average 50:1 clicks on all my banners that I do this way. That's another 100 Hits... I think you are starting to see a pattern here... It is like a never ending cycle of FREE advertising!

It's very important that you know which advertising is working.
You need to know if you need to change your desciption in your pay-per-click account, adjust your solo or top sponser email, How good of a traffic exchange you are using, and which banners are pulling in the money.
