The top 10 reasons why I have ZERO respect for Eminem.

10. The quality of eminems lyrics declines vastly with each release.
This is one of the only reasons on my top ten list that is influenced by my personal opionin.
since its my opionin i am not going to back it up with anything becuase i dont feel its that
really important, all im going to say is that infinate was thousands of times better then his newest
cd, the eminem show. any emcee will most likely tell u the same.
the reason for this is eminem is becoming less and less focused on hiphop and more and more
focused on what sells, and targeting specific audiences (aka commerciliazation)
NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF....
9. Eminem is always disrespecting Tupac.
If u do not know much about tupac then u might find this strange. I will explain but first
let me kill any speculation u may have about eminem's "praising" of tupac from 1999.
in 1999 i belive it was, eminem did an interview with MTV where he reported that he had
a lot of respect for tupac and that tupac was his favorite rapper. At first glance this
does not seem out of the ordiniary. However if u look deeper u will see eminems motive for
saying this... Eminem was new to the mainstream rap scene, he was trying to be accepted
and trying to gain credability. I doubt tupac was his favorite rapper but even MTV noted the
more obvoius when they titled the article " eminem gains credibility, praises tupac".
i am seroius thats what they called it, its still on MTV's website ill find the link soon.
anyways to further prove eminem will lie about his favorite rapper for alterioir motives,
he listed 50 cent as his favorite when he was trying to sign 50, and on the eminem show
he lists "reggie" (redman). i beilve redman is eminems fav rapper cuase eminem is always
biting his style, ok back to the tupac thing...
a. In the below freestyle, eminem says "i talk tha same ish that got 2pac killed"
Any true pac fan knows pac wasnt killed because of what he said or
becuase of rap. Even one of the outlawz ( i believe it was EDI)
said if u say pac and big was killed over rap then its like spitting on there graves

b. Here is another example of eminem disrespecting tupac...
"ill be another dead rapper for sayin sh*t that i shouldnt". Once again, tupac was not
killed for what he said, neither was biggie but its obvoius eminem is
refering to them.
c. Here is yet another example of eminem disrespecting tupac...
"drivin up the block in the car that they shot pac in, lookin for bigs killers"

8. Eminem is still tryin to be a gangsta, when hes a family man.
Eminem must have picked this up from dr gay (dr dre) or something. eminem is tryina battle
all these rappers, and call peeple out for war, but hes got a daughter to protect and raise
eminem is almost 30 years old and in the rap game that is past the retirement age. hes a
multi-millionaire and a FAMILY man, hes got (had) a wife and kid. yet he is endangering there
lives by dissing other rappers, such as benzino and continueing beef. Im not saying that benzino
would take it to the street, but what if he did?, also what benzino said about hallie
howd hed " leave her missing like "benet ramsey" or something, whatever some stuff about
a child who was kidnapped... this is a remark punishable by death so eminem has to make a lose-lose
situation choice here. hes gotta pick to get justice on benzino, which would put his familys
life in danger (and his of coarse), or hes got to be publicly humuliated, and swallow his pride.
by not takin it to street, as he should for what benzino said.
overall eminem is putting himself and more importantly his duaghter at a huge risk.
if u are curius as to why i think eminem claims to be a gangsta then see my 5th reason.
7. Eminem gives white rappers a bad name.
Eminem is the first white rapper to be this succesfull, he is the biggest white rapper
out right now. However, instead of paving the way for more white rappers, such as big pun
did for latino rappers, eminem decided to ruin the "white rapper image". eminem is a clown
hes a fool, hes disrespectfull, and commercailzed. In the words of Suge Knight "eminem is the
first white person to make this much money off black peeple since elvis" - suge, Hes right
but not only that, how can you take someone (another white rapper) serious after watching
eminem be such a clown. its human nature to allow one persons actions represent that persons
race, beliefs, etc etc. see this....
a. eminem acts like a clown, a fake gangsta etc etc.. all the stuff i just talked about
this gives a negitive preconception of white rappers the same way that bin laden and
religoius extremists give a negitive preconception (stereotype) to muslims.
6. Eminem majorly backstabbed detroit with shady records.
Eminem told www.launch.com on video that he made shady records for detroit.
i believe his quote is this "i dont know why detroits so mad at me, i made shady records,
my new label, for detroit, right now its got d12 and im only going to sign detroit artists"
i was furious and in shock when i heard news to the contrary.
a. eminem recently signed 50 cent who is from queens. not detroit.
b. eminem also signed more queens rappers, the G-unit, 50's rap "crew". this means so far he
has signed more artists from NY then detroit since he said that, when he said he was ONLY
GOING TO SIGN DETROIT ARTISTS!
c. It is also rumored that eminem tryd to sign mobb deep, another commercial act, oops
i mean "gangsta'd out rap group".....from NY.
5. Eminem is a FAKE GANGSTA.
I like this reason becuase it is simple and clear.
a. Eminem claims to be a gangsta on the eminem show. he states, "never was a gangsta until i
graduated with one". implying that dre is the gangsta who made em a gangsta i guess hahahahaha.
oh yeah and the only arguement ive heard in response to this is that eminem is talking about how hes
falsey being potrayed as a gangsta now that hes with dre. however this is not true becuase first
of all he wouldnt say this as it would seem to be dre, like hes complaining about being with dre
which he wouldnt do, 2ndly... the line before it (yes i look at the entire context, not just pick
out lines...) says "never was a thug just infautuated with guns". this lets u know hes claiming
that hes not a thug but a gangsta. As opposed to saying that the media is claiming it.
b. He later admits that hes not a gangsta in a diss to j.d. called "say my name"
he says "im no gangsta but ur not either". sad sad stuff...
4. Eminem turned his back on detroit.
Eminem is the highest selling rapper from detroit ever, and one of the only detroit rappers
on the charts right now. This mean eminem represents detroit whether we like it or not, in
the hip hop world at least. for the most part its like the detroit lions, an embarrasement
to detroit. here is what im talking about....
a. Eminem damages detroits image in many ways, here is how he damages it in the hip hop world.
Its almost the same as my 7th reason, about white rappers... Eminem makes peeple from detroit
look lik clowns , he makes peeple over in LA for instance, have the impression that detroit
is a bunch of troubled whiteboys running around with du rags and bleached hair which is obvously
false. How do i know this u may ask? becuase ive talked to many peeple from LA who felt this way
how can i prove this to u, u may ask? go to any west coast rap forum... tharow.com, dpgrecordz.com,
maybe even hitemup.com and ask what la peeple think of detroit. undoubtly they will mention out
infamous class clown, eminem.
b. Now, as for eminem "representing" detroit wherein he does very poorly, he makes detroit look
like a bunch of sick, twisted, freaks for the lack of a better word, as shown on the d12 cd
"devils night". on this cd there is a song about detroit. "ammityvile" , in it eminem allows
seemingly mentally challanged rap companian, "bizzare", spit repulsive lines ranging from haveing
sex with his own MALE cusin, to killing his own mother and so on. There is no need for this and
the only reason its done is the "shock factor" which i talk about in my number 1 reason.
Take note, eminem raps about shooting at cops burgallrys, killings all that in this song to
but that does not bother me.. the stuff that bothers me is when they use the shock factor stuff
to sell records which is lame, and thats the stuff that hurts detroits image.
c. A person would think it couldnt go farther then this, but it does... After disgracing detroit
eminem returns to cash in off detroits poverty in the movie 8 mile. i wouldnt have a problem with
this movie if eminem had been representing detroit, instead of USEING IT.
3. Eminem is scared to diss certain peeple, he only disses weak peeple.
Just like it says, eminem only disses weak peeple, pop stars etc, who he figures wont take
it to the street. This means eminem is no better then the bullys that beat him up everday
in school for being a NERD. Look at these examples for proof.
a. Eminem spent a lot of time dissing the defensless man Moby, who never even dissed eminem,
he was only talking about the same things im talking about which is eminem is irresponsible.
eminem disses him mulitple times, in the song "without me" and in its video.
b. Eminem decided to kill 3 birds with one stone on this next example. the peeple he dissed was
pop stars, the reason being... He knew they werent gonna do anything back, and to create contraversy
(sell records), AND to convince to his 12 yr old fans that he "just doesnt give a f*ck"... yeah
right...., and trent lott isnt rascit.
c. To prove eminem is a pussy, he dissed the peeple above multipple times, many of them didnt do
anything to him... but when rappers on THA ROW such as tha realest, miilkbone, swoop g, k-9, and other REAL
GANGSTAS, diss eminem he failed to respond with anyhthing. Now i know what ur thinking, that these rappers
have no fame so eminem doesnt wanna "boost" there carriers.. this is not true tho and i can prove it here in
example d.
d. Eminem disses nameless rappers such as cannibus, so that cant be the reason for not dissing tha row
the reason is simple. HE IS AFRIAD. no wonder seeing dr dre is treading thin ice anytime he mentions
suge knights name. Suge knight himself in fact has even dissed eminem and dre on more then one occasion.
2. Eminem went COMMERCIAL.
Since eminems first mainstream release "the slim shady lp" eminem has gotten more and more
commercialzed. I do not feel that the slim shady lp is commercail, the song "my name is" got
massive airplay so some peeple get it confused and say its commercail. this is wrong. going
"commercail" means they made the cd to sell, targeting specific audiences, without worrying about
what level they have to stoop to. its like the pop stars who are put threw a "bubble gum" factory
it has nothing to do with how many records u sell. The marshall mathers lp, devils night, and the eminem show
however are very very COMMERCIAL. here are my supporting examples to help show what im saying, as it
is diffucult to explain.
a. Look at "the real slim shady" on the marshall mathers lp. this is one of the most commercailezed
rap songs of all time. That is not refutable, there is no question about it. its made to be "pop".
b. I really dont need to say anymore after this but i will... EMINEM ADMITS HES COMMERCIALIZED!
in other words he admits to making songs with the sole intention to be pop, get air play, and not
care about hip hop or quality, content... its SHALLOW and LAME songs that are more focused on
getting the hook cuaght in ur memory, then any actual meaning or VALUE in the song.
see the following examples to see where he admits this...
c. "im a product of white pop" - eminem , the eminem show
d. "poppy sensation that got me rotation on rock and roll stations" - eminem the marshall mathers lp
e. "im white pop so much spunk" - eminem, the eminem show
f. "I always make a couple songs for radio play on my albums" - eminem from a VH1 interview in 2001.
g. on the greatest albums thing from VH1, its either eminem or someone from interscope i ferget
who is talking about the real slim shady and how eminem needed a commercialized song, and he made
one at the last minute which was the real slim shady of coarse.
h. Eminem also admits to useing another key element in the game of COMMERCIALZATION, which is
the SHOCK FACTOR, to learn more about this go to my number 1 reason, but this one of the biggest
things someone can do to ensure commercail succes while simentanously dissolving any morals they
may or may not have prevously had.
g. Its obvoius eminem is useing these commercail stunts, even before he admitted to it on those
above places and on an interview on 20/20 a couple months ago where he again talked about the
shock factor. The thing that makes it obvoiis is looking at eminems old music before he was famous
he made a cd called "infinate", besides being a really good cd (his best in my opionin). it lacked some
flaws that all his new music has... COMMERCIALZETION, SHOCK FACTORS, CONTRAVERSY... etc.
1. Eminem is damaging to hip hop.
Eminem is on the top of the charts right now, he is selling millions of albums,
this means he is a leader in hip hop right now, he represents it and when the media
looks into hip hop they see his lyrics. However when they see his lyrics,
they are
disgusted and outraged by his lack of responsibility, and profound disrespect.
therefore, GIVING HIP HOP A NEGITAVE REPUTATION.
Eminems lyrics often contian disrespectfull, grotesque, extremietys, ungratefully
abusing the freedom of speech that many american soulders have died for to protect.
a. One example of eminems untastefull disrepect is on his marshall mathers cd.
it is the song "kill you" which is overall degrading to wemon but i dont care about that,
the thing that bothers me is how he decides to "push the envolope", for the purpose of
stirring up contraversy (= getting publicity) (= selling records). In this song eminem
raps about rapeing his own mother, and slitting throats of his girlfriends.
b. In addition to that, eminem dedicated the 16th track on his marshall mathers lp
to a song ("kim") about slitting not only his ex-wifes throat, but her boyfriend, and
his 4 year old boy's throats as well. This was complety uncalled for, especially the part
about killing the 4 year old boy.
c. Eminem admited to ET (entertainment tonight) that he used the "shock factor" to sell
records. i saw it on tv a couple months ago they cut the line out to use for there commercial
to, ill check if its on there website and post a link if it is.
d. There are tons more examples of eminem useing the "shock factor" to sell records.
It is a lame publicity stunt wherein he selfishly gains money, and a whole new base of 12 yr old
fans while at the same time gives hip hop a bad reputation. shouldnt he be proud of himself...

Take note to this. first of all im not a hater , i just tell it how it is, a hater is someone
who is jelous or hates becuase of money or success this is obvously not the reason or my list
would of included "eminem is rich blah blah blah", plus why would i make this about eminem, if
i was hater id go for a richer person to bash. anyways now that thats cleared up.
