"Well after a lot of hard work, i finally finished my Metal DDR pad. I couldn't be any
happier. The thing works perfectly."
- Nashoc3

"SUCCESS!!!!! I've completed my pad! It works perfectly, very sensitive arrows."
- Canadazn

"I must say, it works amazingly good. I've had no problem passing 8 and 9 foot songs with
it. (I'm just getting to the point where I CAN pass 9 foot songs, and the pad is not being
a hinderance at all)."

"It's works excellent and it only cost about $100 - $130 in materials. The only problem
with it is that it took 3 days to build it myself (but if I made a second one I could do it
in under 2 days). It was well worth the effort"

"I HIGHLY recommend this design. When you step, it presses two pieces of sheet metal
together, which completes the circuit and registers the button press. This is very quiet
(no clicky noise whatsoever!) and very responsive."
- Kurishi

"Well, I built mine. The darn thing just seemed such a simple great idea, I couldn't
resist. It took me about 6 evenings, 2 or three hours each. It came out looking good,
and works great!"

"I love my new pad. It sure isn't much different from the arcade at all! I recommend
that anyone thinking about it, build one!"
- Newspaper

"For anyone who is wondering, my pad works great! I can beat a lot of the maniacs like Hot
Limit and No Limit and Japan with no problem. Every button registers everytime it gets
hit! It really makes it like playing at the arcade because there is no problem with the
buttons not registering sometimes like you get with other home pads. This pad is far superior
to any other pad that you could buy. It's just like playing at the arcade!"
- Scootdawg16

"Slides come off perfectly for me on the DDRHomePad because one tap on the arrow will
register a step"
- S2Don

"This Pad is AWESOME!!!!! It feels 100000% exactly like the arcade!! Plus the buttons
respond every single time!! Needless to say I didn't get much sleep last night as I was
up playing until 4am."

"This past Sun. we had a Wrestlemania party and I had 5 of my friends over, needless to
say we played quite a bit of DDR and my pad responded perfectly to every step of every
game! Also it held up just fine under all the stomping of my friends who had never played before!!"
- Majikman

" I built one about two weeks ago and it's working perfectly! I like the first one so much
that I'm building another one."
- JonJ

"My pad works GREAT!! Now all I need to do is get a video of me using it to full combo
something on Maniac"
- Jmdcool

"I can only speak for the precision of my pad which is excellent as I can full combo
nearly all catastrophics in 3rd 4th extra and 5th mixes"
- Cedarpointddrman

"If I did not know making a home-made one was possible, I would not even bother playing
DDR 2nd, 3rd, and 4th mix anymore. Now I am able to get A's if not B's on most of
the songs and I am in love with DDR all over again."
- Aaru

"Anyway, this pad works totally great. I´ve played DDR more regular than ever before
since I finished it. It is so much more fun on a platform and with sensors registering
nearly 100% of my steps! I´m pretty sure I´ll build a second one in the near future"
- Grimmi Meloni

"Hey I just want to thank ddrhomepad for his site and instructions on building the pad. I
just finished building one and it works great."
- D1L7O

"I have my first PAD completed and it works perfect I even had some friends over who
are over 250 and no problems with anything breaking."
- Aaronboycrash

"Thanks a lot for the instructions, the pad works great and we'll probably be making
a second in a couple weeks."
- FFSoftPres

"I have just completed my pad. It works great, and I love it!"
- MegaManRevolutionX6

"My pad is now functional, I can pass drop out maniac at home now!"
- Supa Star

"I finished my pad about a week ago and it works perfectly. I would like to thank
ddrhomepad for putting up the instructions on how to build this or else I would
still be using a softpad."
- ODDrJOB

"DDRhomepad, your design on how to make it works great. Now I can slide and pass
songs without worry that I have to buy another Naki soft pad because I just realized
those pads suck. This is cool, my second week playing DDR and I already got the
arcade experience in my own house Thank you DDRhomepad."
- Hunter Max2

"I just finished my 6arrow panel, and it works great, so I thought I'd mention it,
and toss up a few pics as a possible way to do it! Thanks to DDRHP!"
- Molesquirrel

"I just finished a pad myself, and I think it works great! Thanks a lot DDRHomePad!
I practically memorized your directions and I'm so glad I went through with the project.
My DDR fanatic girlfriend is really gonna love it when I give it to her, its a present."
- Mojojojo

"It's finally done! My pad is done and it works PERFECTLY!
- Cromas

"I just finished my pad per ddrhomepad's instructions and it's great!
Works perfectly and looks so sweet! Thanks ddrhomepad!
- NHughMane

"Good luck to everyone who is about to embark on this AWESOME project,
and to DDRHP, THANKS!!! My pad works like a dream!"
- PaReDFIA

"It rocks to be able to play the songs I don't know OVER and OVER
and not worry about wasting any money!!!!"
- Mental

"My ddr home pad is finished. And it is awesome! Frigin' AWESOME!! It is
everything that I have lusted after in a ddr home arcade pad and so much more.
It's responsive.
It's quiet.
It's accurate.
It's pretty.
It's rock solid tough.
It's portable (sorta)
And the most important? It doesn't have a slot to put any quarters into."
- Pokeron

"Well... after one very long day of screaming and cursing at that really
expensive stuff they call lucite... its done!... and it works perfectly.
Well after I soldered the wires to the right contacts on my controller (whoops)
and a few trips back to Home Depot (measure 2 times cut once .... hehe)

Thanks alot ddrhomepad!"
- Beyonddeath

"DDRhomepad metal pad 10/10
It's better than the arcade. A little squeaky, but the response...
let me put it this way, my fingers can set it off (seriously)."
- TwilightRC

"Built my own using ddrhomepad's design. I rate it a 9/10. I still prefer
the arcade platform but this design is excellent. Extremely sensitive, and its
METAL!! Depending on how well you follow instructions and the quality of your
craftsmanship, this pad can last you forever! It works great and looks great too."
- Cool

"Yes, I too am a fan of the DDRhomepad. 10/10 , but lots of work and
about $130 in materials"
- Danceatron

"After 1 entire week of hard work I finally finish my own Home Built
Dance Dance Revolution Arcade Style Metal Pad. It took me 7 days to
build. I'm from Quebec, Canada and it cost me 208.74$CDN.

It's durable, it's hard, it's responsive, it's fun, it works PERFECTLY.
I never bought cheap soft pads on the market so I can't compare. But I
tried several dance pads at the arcade, and my pad, HOME MADE BY ME, and
with your impressive and easy instructions, works better than the arcade.

I played on my pad for over 1 month, at least 2 hours a day and it always
works perfectly. Thank you very much for the Step-By-Step instruction. I'm
sure an idiot can do it. HEY! I DID IT!!!"
- RedNex699

"Homebuilt metal pads are the best! Accept no substitutes!"
- Rivotall

"Yay! I just finished building my pad (DDRhomepad's design). It looks great
and works perfectly! The only difference is that mines is hooked up to a USB PC
gamepad so I can use it for DWI. Its super sensitive and works great. Huge
thanks go out to DDRhomepad for the design and the great instructions on his page"
- DOACleric

"I just finished mine and not only does it look really freaking awesome,
but it works PERFECTLY! Much more responsive than my soft pad, and it
doesn't move! I'm so happy! If anybody wants to see my pad, go here. Also,
major thanks to you, DDRhomepad. I was thinking of buying a metal pad, but
I'm so glad I followed your directions. I could not ask for a more realistic
pad unless I owned an arcade machine. Thank you so much for taking the time
to write up those instructions."
- The_Jedi

"I'm finally done guys!!! It works in perfection. I cant believe it can
stand me(260 lbs!!!) with 4 supports under each arrow and work flawlessly
I want to thank DDRHOMEPAD for all of this and would be glad to help others
on their little 'project'.....thanx for everything"
- Ser2003gio

"Just wanted to thank DDRHomepad for his plans. and whoever made the arrows
needs to be thanked too (I forgot!). I finally have mine complete, and I'm
only going to change a couple minor things before it's done done. It works great,
and I know with all the cheaper better hard pads coming out, some people might
not think making your own is still as good an idea, but I'd have to say I'm really
glad I made mine!"
- Ninjafetus

"YEA! MY PAD IS DONE! YEAH! and it works like a dream! A goooooooood
dream. Thank you so much for the design and all your help DDRHomepad"
- TheOldAndWiseGothicGuy

"Whooo!! At last, pad complete, well... I completed it over a week ago,
but it keeps getting small problems. But finally, I have ironed out all
the problems, but after I soldered EVERY connection it now works perfectly.
I can even max combo some songs... AND pass Paranoia 5th Mix on basic
(don't laugh, I'm a white Australian)."
- Tyris

"I have a homebuilt pad, and so far it's been the best investment of time and
money I've ever made when it comes to DDR. IMO, it's even BETTER than in the
arcade because most of the arcades where I play don't pay attention to the
maintenance of their machines, and a few of the arrows stick sometimes. I always
check the sensitiveness of my homepad before I play - so it's always perfect.
And for the $140 that I paid to build it, it's a DAMN fine pad. Thanks to DDRHP."
- Andrew Lipsky

"I wanted to let you know my husband built your home made pad and, we are
thrilled with it! We will be donating to your paypal as soon as the holidays
pass. My husband and I are in our early 30's and not exactly as hardcore into
DDR as the people over At DDR Freak but, we have alot of fun playing and your
pad design is perfect for us. My four year old son even enjoys playing on it
and it is withstanding some major kid wear and tear. It took him about 6 days
2-3 hours at a clip but, the instructions were execllent and is the reason I
did not have to post at DDRFreak for any help.
- LilBrat

"I have two home made metal DDR pads as seen on ddrhomepad's site. They
took a bit of time to build, but they possess arcade-like perfection. In fact, some
arcade machine's I've played at miss the occassional step in a quick sequence...
my pads have yet to miss a step for me.
- Jurgs

"Yeah, I've had my pad since April 1st, but I haven't had much time to work
on the page. Anyways, OMG!!!, this pad works like a dream! It took some work,
but wow, it rules all other pads (except maybe the arcade's hehe), but wow,
seriously, if you take the time and make one, you'll be totally satisfied.
I might be able to get more pictures later, but for right now, I'm gonna enjoy
the excitement! I want to thank ddr homepad for all of this. Without him, I
wouldn't be able to do this."
