In the end, it could be said that the entire reason D&D so fascinates me is because of magic. Something about it is...well, magical. I love the mystique, I love the wonder, I love the power. I have always been more about the flashier spells, though. Fireball, magic missile, flesh to stone, and, of course, my all-time favorite, Nahal's reckless dweomer are all about the flash and dazzle. Well, and the smoldering corpses they turn your enemies into, usually.

Call it a weakness.

So far, the sections are a little on the lean side, but at least there's something.

Arcane spells are wielded by magi, sorcerers and wizards. My personal favorite.

Psionics are manifested by those with the Will to wield the Way, harnessing mental energies to create tangible effects in the real world.
