After 4 years of breeding these wonderful cats, I gave it all up when I found out the hard way, about a disease called Feline Infectious Peritonitis or FIP.

Depending on what Vets you talk to, or what you read, anywhere between 80 to 95% of all cattery, shelter or cats living in a group will test positive for being exposed to Corona virus. Corona virus usually does nothing to a cat.

FIP comes when that Corona virus mutates inside the individual cat into FIP for unknown reasons...maybe stress.  It can happen months after the kitten is in their new home.  FIP is fatal.

I decided I could never risk putting a kitten, their new parents or me through that ever again.
