With our cousin Becka moving out to Colorado this year, the fam decided to head out west and hit the slopes at Steamboat, CO to visit her. In our traditional family style, everyone went including our cousins the Goula's and second cousins the Hansens. Between skiing all day, hitting the hot tub and hot springs at night, and mixing in our usual abnormal activities, it turned out to be a great trip. It can't be easy getting 15 people out west for a ski trip, but you pulled it off!
For Thanksgiving last year, we packed up the whole family and traveled down to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. All of our usual Thanksgiving traditions went as planned including the annual gin tournament, Thanksgiving day football game, Texas hold'em tournament, and enough food at dinner to choke a hippo. However, due to the warm weather and being right on the beach, we took advantage of other activities including bike riding, swimming, golfing, and lounging on the beach. The best part was that the whole family was there-Muller's, Goula's, Sheppler's, and Ostrowski's...Make sure you check out all our pictures below from this memorable trip.
Our latest trip to Hawaii brought us to an island we've never explored before; Kauai. We had a great time hotel hopping, exploring the coast, playing golf, and lounging around. The second half of our trip took us back to one of our favorite hotels of all time, The Hilton Waikoloa Resort on the Big Island. Most people dream of going to Cabo once in their lifetime. Lucky for us, we have parents who brought us back for a second trip. The usual suspects were there, along with first timers Granpa and the rest of the Goula's. It was twice as much time the second time around, with twice as many people, twice as many hummers, and twice as many laughs. I speak for all of us when I say we've never had a Thanksgiving like that before! Our previous trip was to the western coast of Costa Rica in Central America. We stayed in the beautiful Los Suenos Marriott which had everything we needed. Between surfing, canopying through the rainforest, golfing, cruising to a private island, and messing with the Iguana's at the hotel, we had our hands full. We also ran into a little bit of a celebrity at the hotel, but you'll have to check out the pictures to see who. Anyways, hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we did living them...enjoy
We're still remembering our first trip to the sunny Baja coast in Mexico. We knew this was going to be an amazing trip from the first day when we snagged a lime green Hummer for our rental car and drove to our beautiful beach house overlooking the water in San Jose. From there, we did everything from parasailing, surfing, waverunners, and ATVing to drinking Cerveza's by the pool and celebrating Mom's birthday with a bonfire on the beach. For the long Easter weekend, the fam headed out to the Hamptons to enjoy two warm Spring days. We did some golf tournaments, poker games, and football and baseball on the beach. It was great being out there in the warm weather and spending our weekend with Aunt Pam. Then the boys and Mom went to the Yankees game on EASTER SUNDAY!! Can you believe it? I think having all boys has finally taken its toll on poor Mom! Check out more pictures below!
For spring break this year, Alex and Zach headed out to the Dominican Republic with Alex's roomate Hank. Between an all-inclusive resort (yes drinks too), beautiful weather, and a plethora of Canadian girls, let's just say they had a lot of fun. Check out more pictures inside.
As most of you know, Alex spent his last semester abroad "down under" in beautiful Australia. Of course this means that our crazy family had to go halfway around the world just to visit him!!! Check out pictures from the family's week stay in Sydney where we did everything from messing around with Kangaroos to attending an Aussie Footie game. It was a fun time with lots of funny memories!
While on our adventure in Australia, we jumped on a plane and headed over to the awesome island of Fiji for a weeks stay. We made friends with the natives, drank Kava, and had our own private island for a day. Check out these great pictures...god I wish we were still that tan!
With all of our different schedules whether it be Ben working full time or Zach and Alex leaving for college, winter break is one of the only times the whole family can do things together. Therefore, we decided to have one last party before everyone went their seperate ways in January. We decided to take a mini-vacation into New York City where we did everything from going to the Broadway play Aida to having drinks on top of the Ritz Carlton. Of course, we had to invite the girlfriends to attend so here we all are in front of the sign for the play on Broadway.
Two days after Christmas, our family took our annual skiing trip to Sugarloaf USA up in Maine. Our cousins "The Goula's" (who you will see constantly throughout this website because they're our best buds) and some of our closest friends joined us on this trip.
