General - or The Problem
RenWiz started as a solution to a problem (more like an inconvenience...) that the I faced when I tried to burn songs from my original CDs encoded into MP3 onto blanks. The problem stemmed from the fact that MS-CDFS standard, Joliet, allows up to 64 letters in the name. However, encoding with a good ripper enables you to put the artist, album and song name and number into the file, resulting sometimes in WAY over 64 characters.
Fishing throught most of the freeware and shareware download sites (known to me), looking for a good file renamer, I found dozens, but they were (except 2), alas, prety lame (sounds familiar...). That's when I decided to write my own, combining all the good features found and avoiding (trying) the pittfalls.
After scouting the market, and consulting the alpha testers (thank you all for taking such a risk...) I priced it moderetely at 29.99$. Considering the superiority of it over all the rest (hum hum humble...) I think it's a fair deal and it's also important to support the developers of good shareware bla bla bla.

Planned modifications and improvements
There are a few things to fix and a few things to add.
More Actions: Well most actions are there. New ideas are welcome.
FTP access and mass rename capabilities via FTP over TCP/IP. I realise the connection will prevent this feature from working as fast as on the file system (1000 files take about 26 seconds), but still, I'm sure some webmasters and others who have their picture or MP3 collection on a remote server would like that. (besides, it will enable me to upload to tucows... so stay tuned).
MP3 (ID3) tags recognition and addition.
Those are not scheduled yet, I've been too busy with a new job and the improvements to the last versions (4 new tabs.. picture previews... date and time and more and now the request to operate on NT).
