Welcome to Jim's Van Page. This page is about the 1977 Dodge Tradesman 200 that I live sleep and eat in.
This picture was taken last summer when I first bought the van from my Uncle.
Like I said my Uncle was the last and only owner of the van besides me. It was bought brand new in 1977. It came stock with a 318 ci. V8 engine, with a three speed transmission. The mechanicals are basically stock, and the interior is far beyond stock.
The entire interior was done by my Uncle and a friend. Even though the interior is almost 25 years old it is still in great condition.
Plans for the not so distant future:
I am going to refurbish the entire interior, including new fabric, new wood trim, and new carpeting. Possibly some renovations of where the cabinets are located.
Entire paint job. Including roof, removing all cheap chrome strips, painting mirrors, bumpers, and front grille black, the rest of the van gray.
ALL NEW weather-stripping, every door, and window. The old ones are cracked and have some minor leaks.
I already have a Sure Grip transmission off of a 1978 Dodge Ram charger, and that's going in the van.
And last but not leased: I am looking for between a 340 and a 360ci motor, and 4-5 speed automatic transmission.
Check out more pictures from last summer.
I have more pictures coming soon of the interior and engine.
