It is estimated that more than two
million new Health Occupation jobs will be created in the United States
this year. Health Care professionals are needed 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, 52 weeks a year. This means job security for you with an added bonus
of a flexible work schedule.
From observing CAT Scans to Emergency
Rooms, the Health Occupations program at the Career and Technology
Center at Fort Osage offers an introductory overview of over 200 health
careers. Health Care occupations include surgery, nursing, radiology,
physical therapy, respiratory therapy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and
many more.
This program gives you a practical
approach to classroom activities by placing you in real, not simulated,
learning environments as you observe firsthand patient care and medical
technology applications.
Upon completion of this course, you can
be certified as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). You will have all
the information you need to decide on the Health Occupation that is right
for you. Contact your high school counselor for more
details. |
