| Students completing the Building
Construction Trades program at the Career and Technology Center at Fort
Osage actually build a house. This hands-on program features the
construction of a house from start to finish. You will be involved with
framing, roofing, dry wall, finish carpentry, painting, machine
woodworking, cabinet making, electrical systems, and
plumbing.
Not only will you get the practical
know-how you need, you may then qualify for advanced placement in a
four-year Union Construction Apprenticeship where you will start earning
money in your chosen profession right away.
You can learn a trade, get a job, earn
college credit, and even build a house. Why not talk to your high school
counselor today? Ask them how you can sign up for the Building
Construction Trades program at the Career and Technology Center at Fort
Osage.
See your high school counselor to find
