During the process of ascension, the individual reconnects to their fifth dimensional lightbody and their light quotient is also raised. The two strands of DNA inherent in every human being operating in the 3-dimensional realm begin to transmute to 12 strands, which are needed to operate at the 5th dimensional state of being.

Ascension is actually experienced in phases or initiations. During certain levels of initiation, part of one's actual spirit self descends to reside in the physical body. Each stage or initiation has certain physical, emotional, mental and spiritual experiences and symptoms associated with it. For further understanding of these stages, I would recommend Archangel Ariel's book chanelled by Tashira Tachi-ren entitled "What is Lightbody" or one of Dr. Joshua David Stone's Ascension series books. Also, the following is a link to an article by Archangel Metatron channelled by Laurie Gilmore entitled "The Ascension is Life lived From Joy". This article offers a lot of detailed information regarding the lightbody initiations.

From a spiritual standpoint, as we ascend, we learn to embrace more fully and align with our higher self which is also referred to as our Christ Self. Once the Christ Self is fully embraced, we then operate from the perspective of our Christ Self. Put in other words, we become our higher self or Christ Self. The Christ Self is the intermediary between the human personality or soul and the mighty "I AM Presence - the Divine Self". The human soul cannot reach the "I AM Presence", except through the Christ Self. The following graphical depiction may help to clarify this a bit.

Our I AM Presence resides in a much higher dimension then we, as humans do. Therefore, in order to experience the lower dimensions, each I AM put forth 12 Higher or Christ Selves, as depicted in the chart above.

An even further breakdown was necessary in order to descend and experience 3-dimensional existence. Therefore, each higher self put forth 6 soul extensions or 6 hermaphroditic souls. A hermaphroditic soul is a soul that is a perfect blend of both the male and female polarities, which reflects the image of the God/Goddess Source. Since 3-dimensional reality operates under the law of duality, each hermaphroditic soul had to split into their male/female parts and become two half souls. Each soul that animates a human body is in reality a half soul.

As we ascend and work our way up through the ascension levels or initiations, we reverse the process of descent and start to realign with our Higher self or Christ Self and then our Divine Self or I AM presence.

Each individual Higher self is over 12 individual soul personalities and each I AM is the Divine Self for 144 individual soul personalities. The purpose of this article is to give a very brief overview of the ascension process. In order to gain a much more in-depth understanding of ascension, I would highly recommend Dr. Joshua David Stone's books "A Beginner's Guide to the Path of Ascension" and "The Complete Ascension Manual - How to Achieve Ascension in this Lifetime".

MY PERSONAL ASCENSION PROCESS EXPERIENCES

The following discusses techniques, tools, concepts and individuals that I have been guided to so far in my own ascension process. Some of what I will talk about may resonate with you and some may not. There is no one specific way to work on your own individual ascension process. Be assured that your guidance will gently assist you and lead you towards the means and methods of ascension that are right for you. I am simply sharing my own experiences as they may help you to understand some of what happens during the ascension process.

As an initiate on the path of ascension, you will notice that as you travel upward on your path, you will naturally start to disassociate yourself from the “herd consciousness” of the world. The key is to be in the world but not of the world. The materialistic, ego-centered way of the world will begin to lose appeal. You will become less interested in the material and more interested in the spiritual aspects of life.

THE BEGINNING OF MY SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

I can still remember these experiences, the first of which occurred in 1989, as if they occurred yesterday. I was resting in my bedroom on a beautiful spring afternoon in 1989. The sun was streaming in through the window and a fresh, gentle breeze moved the venetian blinds occassionally. The birds were chittering happily outside. A feeling of complete peacefulness and calm permeated my entire being.

Suddenly, I was aware of a presence in the room. At this point, I became paralyzed and couldn't move any part of my body nor could I open my eyes. However, I wasn't afraid. The presence sat down on the side of the bed where I was lying. I know this because I actually felt the bed sink down! Next, I felt a hand grasp mine and at the same time, the presence, which I intuitively knew to be female, was cooing to me as a mother would to a child. Then three charges of energy went through my arm and down through the center of my body, stopping at my root chakra. This did not hurt and in fact, was quite pleasant. In my mind, I heard a female voice say "you are deeply loved". Then the bed rose back up as if whoever was sitting on it stood up. At that point, I no longer felt the presence. Was I dreaming? It didn't feel like it. I truly felt I was wide awake during this occurrence.

About five to six years later, I had a similar experience. However, this time the energy transfers went through my foot and the presence, which I felt to be male this time, wasn't as affectionate as the first one and seemed to be more businesslike in nature.

Subsequently, over the next few years, I asked several people with occult knowledge what they thought could be the purpose of these visitations. No one could give me a clear explanation. I have since learned from my guidance that these visitations were to initiate my spiritual awakening process.

EXPERIENCING TANTRIC UNION WITH MY TWIN SOUL

In 1998 I met my Spiritual Twin or Twin soul who is the Alpha polarized half of our spirit to me, the Omega polarized half of our spirit. When I met my twin, we experienced tantric union and this ignited my kundalini and I experienced kundalini rising. This process that occurs when the spiritual twins come together is referred to as tantric or inner union. The Lovers tarot card explains this "inner union" very well. In a beautiful book entitled "The Tarot and You" by Lindel Barker Revell, it is explained that "the Lovers tarot card speaks about love and lovers. Stories and myths tell of the importance of a "sacred marriage" to spiritual growth. This inner union with the Beloved of the Soul is as important as outer union with an earthly beloved". Therefore, when the spiritual twins meet, the tantric union that occurs facilitates kundalini rising and the uniting of the earth chakras to the heaven chakras. This is the metaphysics behind the beauty of the love between twin souls. It is not necessary to be with your twin soul in order to experience inner union. This is explained in more detail in my Spiritual Wholeness article.

As an interesting sidenote - my male twin's natal sun which is masculine and yang in nature is in a very tight conjunction with a 1 degree orb to my natal moon which is feminine and yin in nature. Another highly resonant male/female astrological vibration that my twin and I have between us is our Mars/Venus contact. My male twin's Mars is in Aries which is masculine Mars's natural astrological home. My Venus is in Libra which is feminine Venus's natural astrological home. These very balanced male/female energies between Mars/Venus and Sun/Moon were very positive astrological vibrations of resonant energies to be in place and very conducive for the above mentioned kundalini ignition that I experienced.

Other positive astrological aspects that we share are the Sun (him) conjunct the Ascendant (me), Venus (him) conjunct the Moon (me) and the Ascendant (me). Another very positive aspect that we have is a Chiron(him)/Midheaven(me) exact 0 degree orb conjunction. Some astrologers believe that the MC or midheaven represents the crown chakra or spiritual awareness of the individual and that the IC or Imum Coeli represents the root chakra of the individual. Chiron is the bridge to spiritual awareness or the unconscious. "Chiron is the energetic gate from form (or Saturn) to higher awareness, Uranus. Uranus is illumination; it is kundalini breakthrough" (Barbara Hand Clow from "Chiron - Rainbow bridge between the Inner and Outer Planets" pg. 10). Therefore, one of the interpretations of the Chiron/Midheaven(MC) conjunction between individuals is that the Chiron person is empowering the MC person to reach enlightenment or the crown chakra, which connects to the higher self. The Chiron person heals the person they connect with in the area they connect in, therefore, my twin was in effect healing my consciousness by triggering my spiritual awakening.

In an article entitled "Toward a New Scientific Astrology", Dr. Narada Moy, the author, states that the Nadir (base chakra) represents the Divine Mother or Shakti energy and the Midheaven (crown chakra) represents the Divine Father energy. Dr. Moy states that "The crown chakra is the that attracts to us the light of the Divine Father, the I AM Presence, while the base chakra, integrates this with the material world, the Divine Mother, the Shatki energy of accomplishment". The Father (Sun) gives the light to the Mother and helps to heal her. So this Chiron/MC synastry connection between my twin and I means that my twin is giving me the Father energy to help heal my connection to my higher consciousness. My twin had to connect with my crown in order for me to take in his healing father energy, since it is the crown that the father energy comes through - My twin was directly and powerfully connecting with my crown with a zero degree conjunction - the most powerful aspect available- in order to give me healing father energy.

To further corroborate this interpretation, on the day that my spiritual twin and I met, the sun was transiting my natal moon and was in a zero degree conjunction with my natal moon, which is in my 12th house of the unconscious/subconscious. Symbolically this means that the sun (represented by my twin) was lighting up my subconscious/unconscious (represented by my moon in the 12th house). This sun/moon conjunction that occurred in the sign of Gemini on the day we met also indicates the total unification of the male and female energies.

Additionally on the day we met, transiting Pluto (planet of deep and permanent transformation), was conjuncting my natal Jupiter (planet of wisdom) and sextiling my Venus (planet of love). These Plutonion contacts manifested permanent and deep transformation in my life in the areas of wisdom and love.

With the exceptions of our Mars/Venus contact and Chiron/Midheaven contact, all of the other aspects between my twin and I that I have mentioned above occur in the sign of Gemini, the sign of the twins.

Please be aware that each twin set will have different astrological configurations between them and that the astrology between my twin and I will not necessarily be the same as that between you and your twin. This will depend on many varied factors including shared and individual karma, talents that the twins share and so much more. It is not always easy to determine if individuals are twin souls based on their astrological synastry. I really learned through my own intuition that he was my twin soul and then the astrology simply corroborated this for me.

In summary, when two individuals with strong resonant energy vibrations come together, as is the case with twin souls with their positive/negative, male/female energies, their energies blend in the lower chakras and this awakens the kundalini.

HEALING PAST LIFE WOUNDS

After I met my spiritual twin, my guidance led me to a spiritual guide and teacher who is a very highly evolved "Starseed". She has a very deep understanding of the metaphysics behind the ascension process and has generously helped me with her vast knowledge.

After meeting my spiritual guide and teacher, my guidance gently persuaded me to get several past life readings. In one past life regression, I was able to tap into and reintegrate some very strong talents I innately had, but didn't fully trust or realize that I had. It was very necessary for me to realize that I have these talents because they are very useful in my endeavors to fulfill my earthly mission.

Another reading brought me to a very painful and traumatic past life. This traumatic past life left a scar imprinted on my lower emotional body that I needed to release in order to progress in my ascension process in a more balanced and integrated manner. The lower vehicles (i.e. the physical, emotional and mental bodies), especially the physical and emotional vehicles hold a lot of the traumatic events from the current life and past lives. In order to progress in the ascension process in a balanced manner, the lower vehicles have to be purified and cleansed of dense energies because the clearer and more purified they are, the more of the higher vibrational energy from spirit they can hold. An individual can be progressing very well in their ascension process in the higher auric layers but still be very much fear and ego guided due to dense energies in the the lower bodies or layers. Once these scars from past life and/or current life traumas and painful experiences are transmuted, then the lower vehicles can also hold more of the higher vibrational energy of spirit.

In my own experience, my spiritual guide entered my energy field and brought the past life information through to me. As she was in the process of doing this, I experienced unpleasant physical symptoms related to the emotions of this past life. In fact, I closed her out of my energy field when she was doing this. I had to go into a meditative state and visualize myself helping her go into this past life before she was able to proceed fully. But the process of bringing this painful past back initiated the healing of the past life scar as the negative emotions associated with it began to be released. As the scar continues to heal, my ascension process will proceed in a more balanced manner. My spiritual guide explained to me that this healing process is not immediate and may take a while. But with my own intent, I will be able to move healing energies through this area and further transmute the scar. Shortly after bringing up the negative emotions, I almost immediately noticed a sense of lightness and freedom. My spiritual guide also did a vibrational healing session with me to help further transmute the scar.

THE USE OF AURA PORTRAITS AS A TOOL IN AIDING THE ASCENSION PROCESS

A year or so after my spiritual guide and I worked on the above mentioned past life scar, my inner guidance led me to get an aura portrait done. In April 2002, I decided to to this. Although I had been consciously working on my ascension process, my inner guidance indicated to me that I still had some clearing work that needed to be done on my lower bodies.

I had worked with The 3rd Eye several times in the past and was nothing short of thrilled with their work with me. My spiritual guide at The 3rd Eye is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I always receive very insightful, comprehensive and appropriate spiritual advice and answers to my questions. Therefore, I have no hesitation to very highly recommend them. It is my current understanding that the human aura consists of 7 layers and each layer corresponds to one of the 7 main chakras in the physical body. Each auric layer vibrates at a higher rate than the layer below it. This also corresponds with the chakra system. Each chakra vibrates at a higher rate then the chakra below it. The chakras closer to the earth vibrate at a slower rate and the chakras closer to the heavens vibrate at a more rapid rate.

The first 3 layers of the aura are the physical body or etheric aura layer, the emotional layer and the mental layer. The physical body layer is a direct reflection of the health and well being of the physical body. The emotional layer directly reflects the emotions and feelings of the individual and the mental layer reflects the thought and mind processes of the individual.

The fourth layer is referred to as the astral layer. This layer connects the 3 dimensional physical world to the higher spiritual realms.

The fifth, sixth and seventh layers are known respectively as the etheric template layer, the celestial layer and the ketheric template layer. In general, these layers reflect the higher spiritual and divine configurations of the individual and vibrate at a higher rate than the lower layers.

The following are two aura portraits which were done for me by the 3rd Eye. These were done approxmately 1 year apart. I would like to share some of what I learned from my aura readings in this article because I think it will give the reader a good idea how a reading of this type can be really beneficial to the individual on the ascension path. My Spiritual Guides at The 3rd Eye have kindly given me permission to use the aura image as well as their quotes from my aura readings in this article.

The three markings on the physical body are imprinted on the lower auric layers. My Spiritual Guide first discussed the red semi-circle located on the pelvic region. She felt that the red semi-circle was in the physical body. She stated "this energy feels hot to me and seems to have some pain associated with it. It does feel as if it was in the physical body, so it would be related to female organs, colon or bladder areas. The energy doesn't necessarily feel in the form of dis-ease but a more contracted type of feeling". My Spiritual Guide then offered some suggestions regarding how I could work with this area to help the tissues, muscles and organs in this area relax which would allow the "traumas contained within them to bubble up to the surface". I have the DNA activation cd's from Visionary Music and she suggested that I use these to guide me further into the area and help me to bring forth the information contained in this area. She explained that "the etheric bodies are affected so it is important to work with the energy on these layers to which can be affected by your intent".

I was amazed by this because I had two C-sections in this area. This red semi-circle marking aligned exactly with the surgery done in that area. My Guide also felt that the red semi-circle had some ties to a traumatic past life and she also recommended that I remember that when clearing the energy related to the red semi-circle as well.

My Spiritual Guide next explained the origin and nature of the blue/black oval shaped imprint on the right side of my body. She said that it "felt very contracted and seems to be holding energy in the physical and emotional bodies. I felt like I wanted to stretch this side out when I experienced its sensations. It seems to hold some past life energy within it that at one time was quite immense - something like a severe physical trauma brought on by an emotional filled event. There feels like there has been a lot of healing effort that has released a great deal of this trauma and some bodywork in this area would be good as well as some stretching and breathing into it".

Again I was amazed! I explained to my Spiritual Guide that I had often felt an aching pain in this exact location. I often asked my husband to rub it for me. I asked her if past life traumas could manifest as physical aches and pains in the current lifetime and she responded "Yes, absolutely". My yoga teacher had also noticed the tightness in this area when she was adjusting one of my postures. She suggested some postures that would help to stretch this area out.

Next we discussed the small black bar above my right breast. She explained that "this felt like someone pushing down on that side of the chest area and it seemed to be a large contrast from the left side. I feel it has threads of energy with the blue/black energy and emanates from the pastlife as well. However this spot goes back another lifetime for its origin. It also was much bigger at the beginning of your life this time around and has been subsiding. The same thing would be good for this area - some deep tissue bodywork as well as some expanded breathing into this area."

After that we moved on to the yellow/orange energy on the 4th or Astral layer around the head and face. My Guide said that "this is primarily affecting you in your dream states and your astral travels as well as entering into your meditative states. Basically it is too busy. Too much processing is taking place and not enough letting go into the energy. It is as if you are trying to figure it out as opposed to just experiencing it for what it is. Trying to define the experiences or direct or control them with thoughts and analysis."

This made a lot of sense to me because at the time of the aura reading, I had been doing some very deep and contemplative study of many metaphysical/spiritual writings and teachings that I feel I am being led to and are being channeled to me from the spirit world by my spirit guides. This intense mind activity happens in spurts with me. When the reading was being done, I had just been led to a vast amount of information that I was reading, contemplating and trying to assimilate. My mind sometimes works overtime when I am in this phase, so it made total sense to me that my guide saw this area as being entirely too busy. Her suggestion to me was to balance this out a little more and "for every hour of reading and studying, spend an hour in meditation assimilating the energy/information on the higher levels. She explained that using the Visionary Music DNA cds while studying and while meditating would help to bridge the gaps in my knowledge and stimulate the intuitive side to pick up where the intellect leaves off."

I fully agreed with this sage advice and I am currently working to maintain a more balanced approach to my study and meditation habits.

The final area of discussion was the blue/white energies found on the fifth layer of my aura. My guide related to me that this is beautiful energy. She felt that "this energy is very evolutionary and very transformative. She explained that "this is it's purpose and the more you tune into it, the more these lower layer imprints will be transmuted and cleared. In your meditation work, extend your consciousness out to this layer of the field with your intent. If you are not totally familiar with this energy already, then spend considerable amount of time focused in this frequency. Again the DNA music will really assist you here. Shamballa (also from Visionary Music) is also a great piece to work with in this range. Learn how to become very familar with this vibration range. Once you feel you have resonance --you will know this by a deep level of peace that comes over you when you align with it -- then start to slowly bring it down through the other layers of the field. This will have a tremendous impact on the 4th layer's yellow-orange energy and will really assist in quieting the conversations in this realm. Bring it to the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st layers and into the physical body. Gradually let it blend with each of your organs, then down into the cellular levels to the DNA.".

I explained to my guide that I had lately intuitively detected these blue and white energies and also felt these energies to be very beautiful and peaceful. I have lately been experiencing a wonderful feeling of peace and joy. I also asked if these energies could be resultant of my conscious efforts to work on my ascension and she responded "yes, absolutely". I mentioned that my guides have lately been encouraging me to wear a blue sapphire, which is the carrier of the blue ray, in order to bring more blue ray energies into my energy field. She stated that the "blue sapphire energy would be beneficial for enhancing this connection" to the blue/white energy frequencies. I also learned later on that these blue/white energies flooding the 5th layer were indicative that I had entered the 2nd level of lightbody initiation. In her article entitled "Creation of the Lightbody", Jasmuheen states that during the second level of lighbody initiation, "the etheric blueprint floods with light". The 5th layer of the aura is oftentimes referred to as the etheric blueprint.

I am continuing to work with these energies in the ways that my Spiritual Guide from The 3rd Eye has recommended to me. I feel as though I have started to make some positive progress. I plan to schedule a vibrational healing session with my guide in the next month. After that, in approximately 3-4 months I will get a follow-up aura portrait done so that we can determine my progress. I will keep you posted and update this article as I progress in these areas.

I have recently learned about a crystal called green aventurine that is very helpful in purifying the lower three layers of the aura (i.e. the mental, emotional and etheric layers) and the physical body as well. I am currently using a green aventurine sphere necklace to help cleanse and balance my lower auric layers and physical body. It is my understanding that a sphere necklace is the best form of green aventurine to use initially as it allows the green aventurine energy to fill and purify the aura and physical body most efficiently and readily and has a general overall effect.

I was very excited to receive this aura reading because it allowed me to actually see how my ascension process was progressing and to also see where any remaining problem areas were so that I could work on healing them. Although my intuition and guidance had indicated that the process was rolling along nicely, it was also great to get a visual confirmation.

On the lowest auric layers, my spiritual guide at the 3rd eye picked up a brownish/black band on the waist. She felt that it was related to being emotionally cautious and protective and that it was the remains of a traumatic pastlife event that had affected the physical body. When she looked at my previous aura portrait done in April, 2002, she sensed that the brownish/black imprint was related to the blue/black spot and the red horseshoe energy. However, the brownish/black imprint looked more positive in nature.

My guide also noticed that green waves of energy were moving in and she felt these were related to my processing sessions and told me that the green energy would ramp up when I set my intent to clear and release. I explained that about a month before this reading, I had been guided to wear a 4 mm green aventurine sphere necklace and a 6 mm green aventurine sphere bracelet. I had learned that green aventurine dissolves emotional blocks and purifies the lower auric fields. It was very helpful to see from this reading where the block was so that I could now consciously breathe the green healing energy into this space to further enable clearing and releasing it.

My guide gave me some suggestions on how to further release this imprint and any effects it may have had on my physical body as well. She also told me that as the white energy in layers 3-7 steps down more to the physical level, I would be able to release this more and more.

Next we discussed the brown/red/blue energy in the deep chest to throat area. This imprint was covered up by the red/orange energy on the 4th auric layer when the first aura reading was done and now that the red/orange energy had cleared, this imprint was revealed, according to my guide. She felt that this imprint originated from a pastlife trauma which was due to deep fear of a very primal nature. The initial imprint came from the very first time I ever experienced such a deep level of fear. However, she felt that due to the light blue energy in the area, some healing work had already taken place. I explained that I have been working on releasing fear by speaking my opinions/beliefs/truths in front of groups of people. Lately, I had been in situations where I had to do this and my guide felt that these were great opportunities to help release this imprint. I further explained that I had been wearing a blue sapphire necklace and the blue ray energy was being brought down to the lower auric levels to help heal this imprint also, which my guide confirmed. She gave me some advice on how to further clear and heal this imprint.

Next, we moved to the green spikes of energy moving down from the groin to the inside of the thighs. My guide stated that this was a release of the red horseshoe energy and was very positive and spiritual energy that was sexual in nature. It was helping to release my creativity and also indicated that I was coming to peaceful terms with all of the accumulated past life sexual abuse I had either received or imposed on others. She gave me some advice that would help to open this energy up more in this area.

Finally, we discussed the white energy emanating throughout layers 3-7 and the pink and blue ribbons of energy coming in from the upper dimensions. My guide stated that this was a very powerful space which I should try to explore more deeply. She stated that the pink and blue energy was information, guidance and mostly love. My guide said that she had extended out to 12 dimensions and still saw the energy coming in towards me. She stated that this energy was the result of at least a years worth of my intent and effort.

I stated that I felt that the white energy indicated that my light quotient was increasing and that I was gaining a stronger connection with my lightbody, which she confirmed.

I explained to my guide that over the past year or so, I have been consistently working with Visionary Music's DNA activation cds and their Shamballa cd. Also, I have been very consistent with my meditation and yoga practices and setting my intent on clearing my energy blocks. I have been working to balance my chakras using crystals, music and yoga and I had a fantastic chakra balancing session with the Third Eye in July, 2002. Also, I have been craving and eating food high in prana and light such as algae/seaweed, wheat and barley grass, etc. I have also learned that by wearing the most natural fibers on my body, it helps to maintain the integrity of the auric field and also helps the energy flow better.

My guide stated that all of this was beginning back when the blue/white energy showed on the fifth auric layer on the first aura portrait and is more pronounced now as it fills up much of my auric field. She also said that the DNA activation cd's are very instrumental in helping to bring this energy forth and anchor it to my energy field.

I also felt that the blue and pink energy coming in was love, wisdom, guidance and information as my guide did. I also believe, as my guide stated, that all of this started for me at least a year ago when the fifth layer of my auric field had filled up with blue/white energy. As I mentioned above under the section explaining the first aura portrait, according to Jasmuheen in her article entitled "Creation of the Lightbody", 2nd level lightbody initiation occurs when the etheric blueprint floods with light. The fifth layer of the aura is often referred to as the etheric blueprint. The higher we progress in the lightbody levels, of which there are 12 in total, the more we can integrate the higher vibrations of our true/divine self.

I explained to my guide that I believe that the blue and pink energies were coming from my Monad/I AM/Divine Self. As you can see from the animated aura reading, my lightbody is very well defined and there are also pink and blue ribbons of energy coming in from the 12th dimension. As I stated before, my guide from the 3rd eye stated that she had extended out to 12 dimensions and still saw the pink and blue energy coming in towards me. She is a highly evolved shaman who is capable of projecting or extending out into the higher dimensions. Our source universe has 12 dimensions in total and the 12th dimension is where the Godhead (I AM) resides.

I have learned that as we progress in our ascension process, we raise our vibratory rate so that more and more of the high vibratory energies of our higher spiritual self can download and integrate into our energy field. We then become more and more our true or divine self. Therefore, when I saw the blue and pink energy coming into my energy field from the higher dimensions, I felt that this confirmed that my Monad was now sending energy to my energy field for me to integrate.

I was extremely happy with these aura readings and learned a lot from them. But I still feel that I have a lot to learn about this entire process and I am very excited about the learning experiences that still await me.
