Rage Drop Third Game of the Season

The day after the win was a sketchy one for the Rage.  They came out onto the Rage just a tad too confident after their 4-3 win vs. Team Beer.  The Chiefs could sense this and immediately took advantage of it.  They took an early 1-0 lead, which was erased by a Darek Wegiel goal to tie it at one.

The Chiefs converted on a number of turnovers and miss passes in the second period to come out with a 4-1 lead.  The Rage then came back to earth for the third period, keeping the Chiefs off the scoreboard, but couldn't seem to tickle the twine themselves.  

The Rage took quite a beating from the Chiefs, defensemen Jeff Henderson and Andy Audet could tell you about that.  Henderson was limited at the middle of the third due to back troubles he was suffering from, brought on by a hit along the boards.  Andy Audet went down with about 2:45 left in the third when he was speared in the ribs, trying to clear the ball out of the zone.

Lets just hope the Rage can recover from this and make it a whole different game the next time they face the Chiefs.
