The adoption of technological learning and assessment programmes, designed initially for post-secondary students in the UK, require RGOTC student to have above-average English Language skills if they are to successfully complete their courses of study. 

 Students are expected to pass Pitman English examinations for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at prescribed levels by the end of the years indicated:

Year 2-Basic

Year 4-Elementry

Year 7-Intermidiate
