High Elf Lords
Lords are the rulers over various kingdoms in Ulthuan. Each Lord maintains there own army and keeps them ready for battle as no one knows when the Phoenix King will call the kingdoms to battle. Lord lead their forces into battle mounted on a creature according to preference or tradition. Lords from Caledor will generally ride dragons into battle while Lords from Tiranoc will ride in chariots.
Batle Standards
One Elf from each unit is chosen to carry the standard of his lord into battle. It is a great honor to carry the colors of the kingdom. The banners usually depict great and powerful creatures or represent a point in the history of that kingdom.
High Elf Mages
High Elf mages are potent wizards and are well practiced in all of the lores of magic. High Elf mages are some of the most powerful of all the sorcerers in the Warhammer world. Their spells are of great use where swords and shields alone are not powerful in comparison to their foes. Mages are a prized part of any elven army.
High Elf Champions
Heroes and Champions have become known on the battle field as great fighters and for having exceptional prowess and courage. Though they might be common citizens, and not nobles, they are still known throughout their kingdom as those with outstanding abilities and deeds in times of war. They are often given magical items to defend their city or to lead a regiment into battle.
Silver Helm Knights
Every son of a noble in Ulthuan learns to ride and fight. Many of these sons make up the Silver Helm Knights. Mounted on Elven steeds and carrying lances with diamond tips, Silver helm knights form a small but powerful unit in the armies of Ulthuan. The elven word for Knight is "Ithiltaen" which also tranlates to "Silver Helm." Much of Ulthuan's survival depends on these well trained knights in battle. Many invading armies have been broken to the charge of the silver helms.
Ellyrion Reaver Knights
Ellyrion Reaver Knights are made up of sons of the nobles of the Kingdom of Ellyrion. Reavers learn to ride and fight from horse back at an early age and because of this they are able to shoot with unmatched accuracy. Spending months or even years at a time patrolling the coast lines for any sign of trouble, Reaver knights learn how to live off the land and often forage for food and make usefull items from things found in nature. Many of the warnings that give Ulthuan the time to prepare for an attack come from these warriors.
Dragon Princes of Caledor
Though once the Dragon Princes could arouse enough Dragons to turn the skies black with wings, now these creatures are few. Those that are left sleep deeply. Now the Dragon Princes gallop into battle upon mighty Elven steeds caparisoned in burnished armor forged in the form of a Dragon, an echo of a bygone age.
Sword Masters of Hoeth
The Sword Masters are guardians of the Tower of Hoeth in the mysterious land of Saphery. The Sword Masters are warrior-ascetics who dedicate their lives to the pursuit of wisdom and learning carefully controlled violence. They study meditation and martial arts until they are capable of super-human feats for use in battle. They favor the Elven greatsword, a wicked double edged weapon a full five or six feet in length. The Sword Masters are so superlatively trained that they can wield these mighty swords as fast as an ordinary warrior can use a lighter, shorter, and less powerful weapon.

Pheonix Guards
The Phoenix Guards protect the Shrine of Asuryan. They are a silent order, pledged not to allow a single word to pass their lips in the time they spend as guardians of the shrine. An erie silence lingers over them as they charge into battle. The only sounds to be heard from them is the clanging of metal and the whistling of weapons coming down through the air before they hit the opponent.
White Lions of Chrace
White Lions guard the passes in the broken Northlands of Chrace against against the constant incursions of the Dark Elves. They are sworn to protect the lands about the Inner Sea to their dying breath and are renowned for their ferocity and prowess. Traditionally, a company of White Lions acts as the personal bodyguard of the Phoenix King.
High Elf Spearmen
Regiments of Elven Spearmen are made up of the citizen levy of Ulthuan. Though they may be artists or craftsmen or poets in times of peace, every Elf is a deadly fighter in times of war. In times of great danger, a general raising of the citizen levy will swell the forces of each realm many times over. At other times the regiments undertake patrols, guard important shrines and public places, act as watchmen at night, and form escorts for local officials.
Lothern Sea Guard
The Sea Guards of Lothern are the warriors and sailors of the Phoenix Kings fleet of warships. Lothern Sea Guards are always kept in full strength and remain the core unit of full-time warriors. Their task is to defend Lothern and the waters that surround Ulthuan. Experienced in both the spear and bow enabling them to both shower enemies with arrows and engage in hand to hand combat. This is useful at sea in the cramped decks of the elven warships where the usefullness of two weapons increases their combat effectiveness.
Elven Archers
Like the HIgh Elf Spearmen, the Elven Archers are comprised of regular citizens.
Shadow Warriors
The Shadow Warriors are survivors of the ravages of the Dark Elves in the north of Ulthuan. When the Dark Elves first split from the rest of Ulthuan, many from their own lands did not join them, but were still caught in the terrible war that followed, culminating in the destruction of tier land by the magic unleashed by Dark Elf sorcerers. To this day, they live on as a nomadic people, wandering in the wildernesses of northern Ulthuan and ranging across Cothique, Tiranoc and Chrace in small, fierce bands.
Repeater Bolt Throwers
Bolt Throwers are one of the few war machines that the high elves use. High elves choose to rely more on skilled fighters and their archers then war machines, still there will not be a High Elf Lord that will not take at least one bolt thrower into battle with him. They are effective in percing through even the thickest of armor with ease, taking down ranks of enemies at a time with each shot. Bolt throwers are normally mounted on elven warships but can be removed for use on land.
Tiranoc Charioteers
The scattered peoples of the sundered realm of Tiranoc still keep alive the art of fighting from a fast-moving chariot. Charging in, striking at the foe and wheeling away, driving back their enemies with their deadly skills, the Charioteers of Tiranoc are breathtaking sight that none in the outer lands can match for speed and grace.
