Put your trust in the Lord Jesus to receive eternal life.
”Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:” -Isaiah 26:4
”Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.” -Isaiah 50:10
”The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” -Psalm 28:7
”Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” -Jeremiah 17:7
On a personal note, once someone told me to trust in the Lord rather than in a human friend. He told me to picture myself ice skating with this human friend of mine, and I did so.
Can my friend fall?
Yes.
Will I fall with him?
Yes.
But then if I ice skate with Jesus.. can Jesus fall?
NO!
The second question is immediately eliminated.
The point is that a human can abandon me after I trusted in him: in that situation, I'll be swung out into the middle of confusion. I won't know where to go or how.
But if I trust in Jesus instead, I will NEVER EVER have to worry about being swung out into ANYWHERE without Him by my side.
