Remember when you were a child
And Christmas time was near.
There was always a toy on
the top of your list.
One you just could not live without.
Mom would ask what you wanted Santa to
bring
But you would always tell her
It was only for Santa to hear.
So you went to the stores
And you would stand in a line
Took up all of Mom's time
You climbed in Santa's lap
Just to whisper in his ear.
So no one else would hear.
And...
Christmas Morning all you dreams were
fulfilled
Because
That toy was right where it was supposed
to be
Right under the tree.
As you got older you figured it out.
But you still had your doubts
So you would still talk to Santa
When you thought no one was near.
Now you are a parent
With kids of your own
The spirit of Santa lives on
You know all the secrets
You know all the tricks
But still in the back of your mind
you have doubts.
Let's face it we may never figure it out
.
But then...
Do you really want to
know?
I believe in Santa
Do you?
