********************************

A true friend and an inspiration behind my dreams.  The angels came and took her home.

It was with a heavy heart I said goodbye to Tasha.  She was a very special girl and a once in a lifetime friend.  Born in the bed of pachysandras she became the most talented dog I ever trained....Had a LOVE for agility and ran like the wind, had a knack for obedience and wanted so much to please, loved to tattletale when other dogs were doing something wrong by barking to get my attention.  She was fiercely devoted to me and Mike and would not let either one of us out of her sight.  I will miss her always but know her spirit is around me.  Thank you Tasha, you gave me the inspiration to do the things I am doing today.  Run like the wind my friend.  I miss you but will always remember you in my heart.  Good bye does not mean forever my friend it means till we see each other again.

Also in memory is Tasha's sister, Haddy, and her son, Graham who passed away within the two months of each other.  These wonderful dogs will be sorely missed!  May they all enjoy the rainbow bridge.

The Corgi with the athletic attitude!

Through Tasha it was she who got me started with it all.  Tasha led me towards obedience, agility and the start of my career as a dog trainer.  Her undevoted love for everything made her so easy to train but yet hard at times.  Tasha was born here at Windcrest Acres and was out of my very first litter.  What made her extra special the moment she was born was her feisty attitude and gorgeous markings.   On the agility course she was known as the tornado, in obedience the rumbler (has to growl and rumble if I am too slow to execute commands), and in the breed ring she is just TOO FAST!  Unfortunately many mistakes are caused by Tasha's overly excitable attitude but at least I always had fun and learned something new every day.  That is what made training so much more fun!

A true story you will enjoy!

The Cosmetic Thief
Written by Tasha's exasperated owner!

It was Sunday November 27, 1994 when I pulled into my driveway totally exhausted after two days of dog shows in Springfield, MA. I managed to unload the car, take care of my dogs before crashing into bed at nine thirty at night. I didn't bother to unpack my belongings or even to turn off my outside lights. Even the dogs, who are all tri colored Pembroke Welsh Corgis, felt a bit exhausted as Gordon was on his back on the bed with paws high into the air looking as though he were airborne. Tasha was curled up fast asleep under one of my spare pillows as if she were warding off any lights that might pop on during the night. And lastly, Image, who didn't show, took refuge under the bed where it was quiet and empty.
Morning came too soon as everyone was on my back telling me to "get up!" I turned on the light as it seemed quite dark and glanced at the clock. To my surprise it was five thirty in the morning and here were the dogs jumping all around, so I got out of bed and let everyone out, much to their delight! After getting everyone fed I herded them back into my bedroom and started to open the small brown duffel bag to take out the smelly clothes. After that I went to the bathroom to shower so people wouldn't think that I just came from the dump! When I got out and went to the bag again to retrieve my blow dryer and brush I noticed Tasha was in her crate happily playing with my rouge brush. Upon taking the brush from her I discovered that she had managed to get rouge on her paws, face, and chest. She looked a little pink there! "Tasha!" I managed to say in a deep voice half chuckling and being serious. Tasha came out of the crate with her head down, ears spread like airplane wings and her behind wiggling slowly, for as you know- she has no tail so her behind made up for that When she came out of the crate I looked inside and lo and behold there she had managed to stow away my rouge, lipstick, coverup, necklace, and a small bottle of hand creme! I burst out laughing and Tasha was there grinning from ear to ear with her behind furiously wagging in total excitement at what she had stolen from my brown duffel bag. Certainly I couldn't get mad at the cosmetic thief!
