Welcome to the official web page of the New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department!
The New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department was originally founded on January 22, 1895
with a charter membership of 31 members. Since then the fire department has undergone
many changes including three new fire stations and many new fire trucks. Over the years
one thing has remained the same, the membership's strong commitment to serving the community
of New Hartford.
Today the fire department has 36 active volunteers. In addition to firefighting, the
members of the fire department are now responsible for motor vehicle accident extrication,
emergency medical assists, hazardous materials responses, and countless other job functions.
