The Mitchell J. Bryll, Jr. Memorial

College Scholarship Fund

This scholarship has been established to benefit a local student pursuing a career in the automotive field.

Many of the car owners in northern Connecticut would not have had such a pristine restoration without Mitch Bryll’s expertise, both in his knowledge of body work and his comprehensive knowledge of antique automobiles.  He played a very important part in many a car’s restoration.  Sadly Mitch passed away this past December 2007 due to complications from Leukemia.  He was 48.  There are a number of incredible show cars in New England that Mitch restored.  One, a 1958 Chevrolet Impala, was chosen and used as a model by the Danbury mint.  At least three of them have been featured in national magazines, including Hemmings Muscle Machines.

This scholarship was founded in memory of Mitchell J. Bryll, Jr. , a true artist and craftsman, loved restoring cars, all makes and years.

Funding for this scholarship is obtained from proceeds collected at our annual Car Cruise held in Windsor, CT.
