The club lapsed at the start of the first World War, restarting in 1919 at a new ground, near the railway station. The club folded in 1933 due to a lack of interest, but re-formed in 1948 at the present location of the playing fields, with a view of the Vale of Evesham. Around 1990 the club built a new pavilion with much of the money coming through our own fund raising activities such as sponsered aerobics, donkey derbies and a bed push. In 1997 the club received a lottery grant which enabled us to build side screens, a score box, an artificial wicket and to purchase some nets. In 1990 the club was able to put out two teams on a Sunday whilst on Saturdays we fielded one team in the local 3D Cottswold Hills League. This changed in 1993 when we were able to field two Saturday teams as we still do today, the First XI play in the premier division (having won division one in 1996) and the seconds are in division 3. In 1992 we restarted our under 16s team and we also have representative sides in local competitions such as the indoor sixes, Bredon sixes and the Bidford midweek league. We also have teams in the local skittles and sport quiz leagues."

"Ashton Under Hill is situated in the Vale of Evesham, in Worcestershire near to the border with Gloucestershire. The Cricket Club was established in 1907, and the club played off Back Lane with the pavilion an old railway carriage. In that summer the club president, Mr Collins, refused to allow the vice captain, Mr Thompson, to play because Mr Thompsons cows had got into Mr Collins' field. Mr Thompson set up Ashton Under Hill United CC. In 1910 the two teams merged.
