Anime is known with many names over the internet, these names include manga, japanime, japanimation, the ever so popular hentai, and many others as well. Anime as most people know came from Japan and it is animation. But this isn't any other animation. In most cases it contains a lot of violence, profanity, nudity, and it is mostly aimed towards older more mature audiences because of its contents. But even with these characteristics some rental places such as Blockbusters blows it out of proportion.
For example at Blockbusters I went into the animation section and saw Final Fantasy: Legend Of The Crystals with a Youth Restricted Viewing sticker on it. After playing the video game I found this kind of strange, so I picked up the box and looked on the back. Surely enough it said suitable for ages 3 and up. At movie places such as Blockbusters this really makes me angry because all anime fans know without a doubt the employees there have never watched the movies in that section. That is only one example of anime treason that Blockbusters portray and I think people should start writing letters or something just to piss off the manager there, or something to make those guys mad.
Getting off that subject, there are many anime titles out there and some are ment for adults, others are ment for kids, and there is a range of movies for teens and young adults. Movies for adults are titles such as Ghost in the Shell or Ninja Scroll, for kids there's Pokemon, and Kiki's Delivery Service, and for young adults and teens there's Dragonball/Z/GT and Night Warriors. With this wide variety of movies there is something for everyone.
