Tears like night
fall fast and consumately
when you are not near me, my love
empty nervousness and an insomniatic personna
follow me when you are not around

Snapshots of your beautiful face and its many expressions dance across my mind

Collages of images of you swim into my thoughts constantly
I watch you like a crazed fan

or if you really do exist

All this within
your taste of eggs and potatoes and a sip of coffee
before a realization and inquiry
as to my staring
