New Beginning Ministries is a Christian residential substance abuse / descipleship program for men with life controlling problems in the areas of drugs, alcohol, and crime. New Beginning Ministries started in 1996 in New Britain, Ct when Rev. Frank L. Boddie was seized by a burden for the drug and alcohol abuse problem that has infested the world. THE PHILOSOPHY OF NEW BEGINNING MINISTRIES New Beginning does not believe drugs are the root of the problem, but a symptom of a deeper internal problem. Drugs are only one of the things that a person turns to when attempting to find true happiness. The diffrence between New Beginning Ministries and traditional drug and alcohol programs is the basic belief that an addict must find a personal relationship with God. This faith based program works! GOALS OF NEW BEGINNING MINISTRIES New Beginning endeavors to help people become mentallt sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive. The long range goal is to enable each student to function in society as a responsible person, apply biblical principals in relationships with family, community, local churches, and in vocational settings. HOW DOES IT WORK? Our program structure includes classes, character development, relational guidance, social skills and recreation. The educational aspect concentrates on academic and vocational advancement. The student is tutored in developing positive attitudes, trustworthiness, concern for others and a strong sense of responsibility. Graduates receive assistance to re-enter society as productive citizens with housing, job placement and church affiliation. It is our belief that after a successful completion of our program, the men will be able to make a successful re-entry back into society with out the want, need or desire for life controlling substances. HOW NEW BEGINNING MINISTRIES IS SUPPORTED New Beginning Ministries is NOT government funded. We are a non-profit, tax exempt, religious Ministry. We are supported by contributions from private individules, families, business people, churches as well as feild service promotions.
