Bowling

My bowling page

As mentioned before my other favorite sport is bowling. It provides an excellent source for the cure of the addiction that comes along with racing. When you bowl in the off-season you forget that you're missing racing, and you eventually get almost addicted to bowling, but nothing you can't live without, nothing even close to racing. I started bowling four years ago, in the '95-'96 season. I had always enjoyed bowling for fun up to that point, so my mom signed me up for a league at Monitor Lanes in Bay City. I didn't have my own ball or my own shoes, and I was just going for fun really. I got put on a good team, and we ended up going on to win the season championship. My finishing average for my first year of bowling was 106. I then went on to be put on mediocre teams, but my average continued to go up and up. Then at the end of last year, 1998, our high school finally got a bowling team. The tryouts were tuff, only having 8 people on the team, with more then 8 guys with talent. I averaged about 185 for tryouts, and made the team, as the 7th bowler. I continued to get better with all of the practice that our team had, and eventually moved up to about the 4th or 5th spot on the team, with an average of 190 or so. Our team went on to win our season, then we won districts, and were then sent to the high school state finals. Our team did very poorly, and we only finished 12. We're looking forward to another succesful season in '99.

There would be pictures of me bowling here, but I think that would be pretty lame, and I don't have any, so you don't get to see them!
