What a Beautiful Town Beaver Falls Was in the 1960's

If the towns name is familiar
it might be because renowned
NFL Quarterback Joe Namath came from there

In the background
you should be hearing The Songs
"Mansions of the Lord" and "Sergeant McKenzie"
those songs were themes for the movie "We Were Soldiers"
If you do NOT hear the music and
You are using a cell phone
tap the right facing triangle
( )
in the block at the top of the page
It will enhance your visit here tremendously
The words/lyrics to the songs can be found

Here are the names of the 14 Residents
of Beaver Falls PA
who were killed in Vietnam

Beaver Falls is my wife's hometown
Her name when she grew up there
was Jackie Heath
She Graduated in 1961 from
Beaver Falls High School
One of her classmates was Joe Namath

Many of the small towns in the U.S.
lost a greater % of their residents than large cities
To that point: the population of Beaver Falls
was 10,000 in the 1960's
14 were Killed In Action
my home town of Parma Ohio
had 110,000 residents ( 11 times more )
34 were lost in Vietnam
What a Shame
BUT lets never forget their and their family's Sacrifices

God Bless them

and Visit the Vietnam Wall Memorial page
and search your town's name there
to see those who died in Vietnam

Now some info about the names seen above
