this looks very much like dandelion leaves only a little fleshier to the touch, it also has tasty blue flowers on if left to grow for long enough before your tort makes tasty meals out of them!

The powder is used in the same type of way as a calcium supplement... and can be sprinkled over the top of other foods
This adds extra fibre to your torts diet and also trace elements plus calcium, this forms a substancialy large part of their natural diet in the wild.
You can also take a couple of table spoons and mix it into a a paste with a little warm water to add more water to your torts diet...especially useful with hatchlings and juvenile torts this way

It also comes in incredibly useful to sprinkle over other wet foods,such as salad that has had to be bought,but this way they will be getting the extra vital nutrition that they require.It is recomended that tortoise should have a complex diet of at least 4-5 different weeds/plants per day.....a diet of just dandelions or plantain leafs will not surfice.....How would you like to live on just cheese sandwhiches for the rest of your life? ...the answer i'm sure is no!!
Because It is dried only a small amount is needed to add the extra nutrition that is needed.....a couple of pinches sprinkled over food and misted with a plant mister will be enough on a daily basis. All bags of vegetation are sold with a use by date of at least 12 months and are each 100 grams in weight, all are 100% organic with no chemicals added.
