The precedent set by the verdict of this case is that in times of war the rights of the people of the United States of American are suspended to some degree. This creates controversy because the Constitution is supposed to be a permanent fixture. Insuring the rights and privileges of everyone equally, regardless of circumstance. However this does show that times can change. It is the duty of the Supreme Court to establish the changes that need to be made in order maintain the economical and civil liberties status in the United States.
