(As a lot of u know, I write games. These are those.)
Stink : Everyone who makes games has, at some point, attempted to make a remake of pong. It's just something you do!!!!
This version has a slightly more sinister motive behind it though, as it simply served as an aid to the development of the RetroDev engine, an engine custom built for making retro games in OpenGL. I figured it'd be easier to write the engine if I was developing a game alongside it. The result - It's not very polished, but it's got powerups, AI opponents and a choice of nu-skool or old-skool graphics. Now I'm going to put this engine to some proper use!!!
Joust World : This is a new version of an old favourite of mine. The player vs. player potential of the game was hugely overlooked in the original I believe, so iv this LAN enabled remake should correct that problem! A large-ish number of players can log into the server and challenge each other till their ostrich's feathers turn blue.
Tetris GL : A version of Tetris written in openGL in about 6 hours. Built primarily to bolster my 'Game Library', with something I can show to employers and the like when I start job-hunting. There's no sound, no snazzy effects, and buggy as hell, but still a working version of Tetris.
Zoo Crew : (or Zeux Crux in French) Ask me about this one! It's a Cel-Shaded Puzzle Game, and perhaps the largest project I've worked on so far. Produced by Team Brick, it came in 1st place at this years 'Dare to be Digital' competition. Was featured in EDGE and DEVELOP!
Corpse Wars : Part of 4th year project, this is another game based loosely on the Gollop Classic, but is in fact more akin to 'Worms'. A non-up-to-date demo is available for download off the site, contact me personally if you want a bang-up-to-date copy
Fantasy Evo : <Working Title> This project is suspended till I get 30 or more seconds to myself!!!!!. There's a lot to do at the moment, but here's some info on it.
Disorder : is the first 'chaos' remake I got around to finishing. It's the most like chaos game I've written so far, and was just a fun summer project last year. It's written in Dark Basic, so I don't think I'll be showing it to any publishers! To this end, there's no web-media for this one. You want a copy, come see me or email me.
