two things in the movie "28 Days Later" that i anticipate will eventually happen
PETA being responsible for the downfall of our civilization as we know it.
In the movie, a terrible virus destroys most of the world's population because some self-righteous, animal-rights heathens break into a lab and free animals tainted with the disease. I hate animal-rights activists. They look at the world through retarded-colored glasses, only seeing the world how they want to, and not for what it really is. Take vegans: "I save animal's lives because I don't eat meat." WRONG!! My man, MADDOX already explained how erroneous that belief is, so I digress. Animal-Right Activism no more than a cult, complete with brainwashing propaganda. All around my campus last semester were these obnoxious little stickers: a picture of some cute kitty or puppy with the caption, "Thousands of cute little kitties and puppies die horrific deaths in labs every year. That's so sad, wah wah wah!" Notice two things about this type of propaganda: first of all, there's never any cited statistics. No citations normally mean information is pull out of one's heiny. Secondly, they desperately try to tear at one's heart strings. It's only the suffering and affliction of adorable animals that the heathens push to our attention. It's never the turmoils of the rats, mice, snakes, spiders, etc. that we hear about. If you're going to push for ethical treatment for animals, push for all them, not just the cute and cuddly ones. And instead of just trying to pull at people's heart strings in a desperate attempt to ban animal testing, why not actually take steps to come up with a 100%, animal-free experiment solution because, as it stands now, we have no choice but to test on animals. I love animals, but a petri dish with some tissue cells and a computer program aren't enough to guarantee that a product is safe on an entire organ system. I agree, we can dramatically reduce the number of animals being used, and we have, but animals are still needed unless we can test on some, stupid, useless, "disposable" people. Hey, why don't they pass a law to test on animal-rights activists? That way, no animals will be harmed and also, we will never have to worry about the heathens freeing horrific diseases into our population. That is, unless the cycle continues and animal-rights-activists activists start freeing the animal-rights activists. Awh mess!!
After the world ending, the only two things major things left being pepsi and rats.
You ever think about what could live through the world ending as we know it? I know I sure do. Most people think of rats, coach roaches, bit and pieces of michael jackson's face, but the staff at 28 Days Later thought of something that I had failed to think about: big corporations. That's right, even after the apocalypse, Pepsi will always be there (that should be their new slogan). Throughout the movie, the survivors of this virus live on whatever they can find scattered around England, mainly Pepsi, but when drinking, they make sure to hold the cans in a way that everyone in the theatre can see exactly what they're drinking. I knew going into this film that it was low-budget, but for as much advertising as Pepsi recieved from this movie (especially in a theatre that is registered to Coca Cola), the movie should have had a much larger budget. ::sigh::
it was a good movie though, despite all the blatantly, obvious advertising.
