The
Way
it is

The scene opens up at Sea World in California. You see a lot of people walking around and looking at all the different sea creachers that are there. From Killer Whales to sea lions; then you see the camera starting to zoom towards the shark’s aquarium where there was a man dress in black from his shirt down to his shoes. When the man in black turned around you could see that it was Shadow Ninja standing there looking at the sharks. Then another man walked up to Shadow Ninja with the camera crew. Then you realized that the man was Joe Renna coming to interview Ninja.

Joe Renna: Shadow Ninja, you don’t mind if talk to you for a moment?

Shadow Ninja: No not at all, if you don’t mind me asking, who are you?

Joe Renna: I’m Joe Rena was from the NAeWF for a little while!

Shadow Ninja: Ah, the one that Tony Floyd hired to do the interviews on him and his friends.

Joe Renna: Yes, the very same guy.

Shadow Ninja: Ok, what do you want to talk to me about?

Joe Renna: I think you already know what I’m going to ask you!

Shadow Ninja: You’re right; I do know what you are going to ask me. I know it is about my up coming title match with Robert "The Icon" Terry/Cooke, Mr. Coleman, and "Xtreme Icon" Shannon Storm.

Joe Renna: Do you have a plan to attack Robert "The Icon" Terry/Cooke, Mr. Coleman, and "Xtreme Icon" Shannon Storm with?

Shadow Ninja: Yes, I do have a plan on attacking Robert "The Icon" Terry/Cooke, Mr. Coleman, and "Xtreme Icon" Shannon Storm!

Joe Renna: Are you going to tell us and your views at home how you plan to beat Robert "The Icon" Terry/Cooke, Mr. Coleman, and "Xtreme Icon" Shannon Storm,”

But before Joe Renna could finish his question a voice interrupted him that sounded very familiar to him.

The voice: You know Joe you ask the same stupid questions day in and day out an it still as boring as the last, not to mention you have a habit annoying people!

Joe Renna: That voice sounds almost sounds like,

Tony Floyd: Yeah, Joey I’m here!!

Joe turns around to see the massive frame of Tony Floyd.

Joe Renna: Oh, no. Oh, god. Oh, shit! Not you again.

Shadow Ninja: Is there something wrong Joe?! ( saying that with a smirk on his face)

Joe Renna: You dam right there is something wrong!!! This guy single handily cost a lot of wrestlers in the NAeWF a lot of money and a lot of damage before he was thrown out!

Tony Floyd: Excuse me, but I left because of other reasons, not by you or the Pres of that fed!

Shadow Ninja: If you don’t mind Joe, you did come here for an interview!

Joe Renna: You’re right, I did come down here for an interview. (Clearing his throat) So, how do you plan to beat Robert "The Icon" Terry/Cooke, Mr. Coleman, and "Xtreme Icon" Shannon Storm?

Shadow Ninja: First off I plan not to underestimate them. What do you think Tony?

Tony: Man you should stop tip toeing around the bitches and just nail them to the cross and continue to beat the shit out of them.

Joe Renna: What about your match on Nov. 5?

Tony Floyd: Roadkill and Jimmy "2 Big for you" Taylor are a bunch of little morons to me. As a matter of fact that those losers should watch where I’m going so that I don’t have to step on them!

Joe Renna: I guess that you will never change! You have always been cocky.

Tony Floyd: Hey, just like Kid Rock said and I quote “I’m not cocky if I back it up!” And after Nov. 5, I will show the whole SWF Fed that I’m not cocky when I beat Roadkill and Jimmy "2 Big for you" Taylor in to piles of dog…

Before Floyd could get the last word out Shadow Ninja interrupted him.

Shadow Ninja: Tony I think you might want to keep it clean just a little so the viewers can watch.

Tony Floyd: Yeah you’re right. So Joey boy lets get back to you! How does it feel to live a transsexual’s life?

Joe Renna: Very funny Floyd. I was trying to conduct an interview with him.

Tony Floyd: All I’m doing is trying to keep the interview interesting!

Joe Renna: Are you quite done Tony? (With a very upset look on his face)

Tony Floyd: For now I am.

Joe Renna: May I ask on whom you tipped off to get a three match with Roadkill and Jimmy "2 Big for you" Taylor?

Tony Floyd: (with a big smile on his face) I asked for this match plain and simple as the nose on your face Joe!!

Joe Renna: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT ASKING (then clears his throat and continues with a comer manner) asking for a match like that?

Shadow Ninja: This one may surprise you Joe!!

Spawn: Just to see if they are as easy to beat as everybody told me they are!!

Joe Renna: I should have known that the crowd would encourage you! Any way, how do you feel about the title shot that you have coming up on Nov. 5?

Shadow Ninja: Joe you should know that it is the fight is al that matters to me. But I do plan on winning that match with what ever it takes as long there is no cheating involved. To put in another way with a quick story. Three swordsmen sat down at a table in a crowded Japanese inn and began to make loud comments about their neighbor, hoping to goad him into a duel. The master seemed to take no notice of them, but when their remarks became ruder and more pointed; he raised his chopsticks and, in quick snips, effortlessly caught four flies’ wings. As he slowly laid down the chopsticks, the three swordsmen hurriedly left the room.

Joe Renna: So what does that have to do with the title match?

Shadow Ninja: If you let me finish you will realize the point of the story. Now where was I, oh yes. The story illustrates a great difference between oriental and western thinking. The average westerner would be intrigued by someone’s ability to catch flies with chopsticks, and would probably say that has nothing to do with how good he is in combat. But the oriental would realize that a man who has attained such complete mastery of an art reveals his presence of mind in every action. The state of wholeness and imperturbability demonstrated by the master indicated his mastery of self.

And so it is with martial arts. To the westerner the finger jabs, the side kicks, and the back fist, etc, are tools of destruction and violence which is, indeed, one of their functions. But the oriental believes that the primary function of such tools is revealed when they are self-distracted and destroy greed, fear, anger and folly.

Manipulative skill is not Oriental’s goal. He is aiming his kicks and blows at himself and when successful, may even succeed in knocking himself out. After years of training, he hopes to achieve that vital loosening and equability of all powers which is what the three swordsmen saw in the master.

In every day life the mind is capable of moving from one thought or object to another – “being” mind instead of “having” mind. However, when face to face with an opponent in a deadly contest, the mind tends to stick and loses it mobility. Stick ability or stoppage is a problem that haunts every martial artist.

Kwan – in (avalokitesvara), the goddess of mercy, is sometimes represented with one thousand arms, each holding a different instrument. If her mind stops (999) will be of no use whatever, it is only because of her mind not stopping with the use of one arm, but moving from one instrument to another, that all her arms prove useful with the utmost degree of efficiency. Thus the figure is meant to demonstrate that, when the ultimate truth is realized even as many as one thousand arms on one body may each be service able in one way or another.

“Purposelessness”, “empty – mindedness” or “no art” are frequent terms used in the orient to denote the ultimate achievement of a martial artist. According to Zen, the spirit is by nature formless and no “ objects” are to be harbored in it. When anything is harbored there, psychic energy is drawn toward it, and when psychic energy loses its balance, its native activity becomes cramped and it no longer flows with the stream, where the energy is tipped, there is too much of it in one direction and a shortage of it in another direction. Where there is too much energy, it overflows and cannot be controlled. In either case, it is unable to cope with ever – changing situations. But when there prevails a state of “purposelessness” (which is also a stage of fluidity or mindlessness) , the spirit harbors nothing in it, nor is it tipped in one direction; it transcends both subject and object; it responds empty – mindedly to whatever is happening.

True mastery transcends any particular art. It stems from mastery of oneself – the ability, developed through self – discipline, to be calm, fully aware, and completely in tune with oneself and the surroundings. Then, and only then, can a person know himself.

Joe Renna: Why go into all of that, besides I have heard that one before but I don’t know where!?

Tony Floyd: Hey moron, if you ever watch martial arts movies you would know that was from Bruce Lee.

Joe Renna: But what does it have to do with your match in next Wed.? (With a little more persistence)

Shadow Ninja: What it has to do this match is for Robert "The Icon" Terry/Cooke, Mr. Coleman, and "Xtreme Icon" Shannon Storm not to trust their eyes but their senses.

Joe Renna: So you do have something up your sleeve don’t you Ninja?

Shadow Ninja: A true observation begins when devoid of set patterns, and freedom of expression occurs when one is beyond systems.

Tony Floyd: In another words you won’t know until this Sunday. Now if you don’t mind Ninja and I have to begin our training, and besides I don’t want to be seen with a Peewee Herman look alike like you, Joey boy!

Then the two men started to walk to the exit of the park when a man in overalls and a t-shirt stopped Tony.

Man: Tony, is that the car you wanted to have towed away?

Tony Floyd: Yeah, Tom that is the one I wanted to have towed away.

Man: Ok consider it done.

Shadow Ninja turn to Tony Floyd with a puzzled look on his face to say what are you doing now.

Tony Floyd: I assure you Ninja I’m not destroying anything of his at all!

Shadow Ninja: Then may I ask what you are doing then?

Tony Floyd: Oh, you could say that Joe is going to have a nice long walk home to where his car is being towed!

Then the scene fades to black.
