The Origin Of The Bunny

Though not a pretty story, the origin of
Fillerbunny is one whose story needs telling.
Now shut up and listen to me tell it, for it is a
long and miserable series of events that brought this
unique ray of happiness into your sad,
worthless, cabbagey lives. LISTEN I SAY!!
FADE IN: Several years ago while compiling materials
for the SQUEE trade paperback, I came
upon ...A DILEMMA. in one of the original
issues, an ad had been run in place of
the usual piece of actual comic nonsense.
This left me a page uneven when it came time to put
all four issues in one big book.
I lost what little sleep I occasionally get racking
my brainmeats for the solution to filling
a page without really trying too hard.
The answer was so very simple.
The answer came in the form of a happiness inducing
rabbit, genetically engineered to draw attention away
from my occasional forays into HALF ASSED workmanship.
I hired a team of scientists from the back of some van
to create and maintain the lab that serves as the
bunny's home, and theatre for his lovable jigs of glee.
His life is one of unending suffering.

He is Filler Bunny: the wondrous, the glorious, the
fantastic, the adorable, the hysterical, the
lovable, and the magnificent. As was just
told to you by Jhonen Vasquez, he was originally
created to "Fill Up" space in the SQUEE comic books
(Written by Jhonen Vasquez) and has come a long way since.
Filler Bunny just recently published his second Comic
"Revenge of the Filler Bunny" which brought us
just as many chuckles of laughter as his first Comic,
"Filler Bunny in 'I fill up' 15 Pages."
Filler Bunny not only fills up space in SQUEE,
and his own Comics, he also fills up our hearts.
Filler Bunny enjoys monkeys, pigs, weird beaver
moose godzilla things, everything cute, puppies,
french fries, mochi balls, peas, muffins, spaghetti,
caramel apple suckers, gummi worms,
dancing, singing, and death.
He's approximately three feet tall, has black eyes,
pink fur, a white tail, and white buck-teeth. When he
isn't filling up space in another of Jhonen's comics,
he can be found residing in his Lab Tube and dreaming
of wonderful, happy things.
His favourite food is sizzling rice soup
and he wants nothing more in the world
than to die.
In "Revenge of the Filler Bunny," Filler Bunny
graces us with his heart-warming,
self-created Mini-Comic,
"HAPPY the cute little thingy who felt loved."
It is believed that Filler Bunny's mini-comic is
a creative outlet in which Filler Bunny expresses his
desperate need for love, affection, respect,
and for the ravage torturing to stop.
We don't know if Filler Bunny will ever be granted
his wish of sweet, sweet death - but we do
know that in the meantime we'll continue to adore him.
Thank you Filler Bunny for all the smiles
you have brought us; and -although we will
miss you greatly if you leave, we want
only what is best for you- we hope you get
your wish of a death to end all the pain.
