Adventure - Adventure One: Midnight Gamers awoke mysteriously in the
1940s, on a train enroute to Casablanca
Act I:
The Train
The Midnight Gamers awoke mysteriously on a train in
French Morocco in the 1940s, enroute to Casablanca. From their
possessions, they learned that they were staff members of a US
university and they were on their way to find the fabled Great Cave
in the desert near Casablanca. Before they could blink their eyes and
realise what was happening, their colleague was murdered in cold
blood, and they were suspected of murdering two German SS officers in
the next compartment. Later on, they themselves were attacked for no
apparent reason. When they reach Casablanca, the Prefect of Police
accused them of having a history of anti-fascist activity. Their
visas were promptly cancelled, trapping them in a foreign land.
Act
II: Casablanca
The group rested in a hotel in Casablanca
before going to a local cafe to meet their contact, who requested
them to use their archaeological mission as a cover for helping the
French resistance find missing intelligence documents. The group
agreed, but without much cash on them, they decided to visit the
local gambling den for a spin on the roulette wheel. They were lucky
and won a small fortune.
