Session Start: Mon Jul 12 18:40:10 2004 Session Ident: #ethresh * Logging #ethresh to 'C:\Documents and Settings\Dave\My Documents\Exalted\Characters and other\Abyssal Campaign\Abyssal Logs\july 12 2004.Stratics' I have stayed behind to remove * Disconnected Session Close: Mon Jul 12 18:53:58 2004 Session Start: Mon Jul 12 18:55:15 2004 Session Ident: #ethresh * Now talking in #ethresh * Echoing_Words has joined #ethresh greetings hello again the heroing goes well, btw excellent you should join our super group once you get the game, heh I do think I'll pick up city of heros the Hussars could use another member I'll be a bit behind in levels methinks well i'm level 22 at the moment but i usually play every day lance, on the other hand...plays all day, every day his char is level 17 at the moment i think, but he's made it to there in like a week and a half afraid I don't have quite that much time, but we'll see doesn't matter, can always Sidekick you since the cable line doesn't interfere with the phones, its not a problem to stay on all day :) the funny thing is, i'm level 22...highest of any char i've ever played by far what type? he's a scrapper up close and personal kind of fighter melee fighter? ah but without the hitpoints of a tanker, yeah have you even seen the game? I saw you play for about 2 minutes once, looks tight I looked through the manual too, very detailed it's really quite good and i can tell the creators love the game so much they keep doing updates to tweak it I know exactly what I'll do, play each type of character before I decide which is best to run with to higher levels and anyone who has a subscription automatically gets a comic book of the game in the mail every month ahah, thats freakin awesome a comic book...with characters FROM the game yeah, no kidding wow what's the monthly subscription and game cost? i've already talked to a guy who was approached by the devs so he could be in the comic book game is normal cost, 50 bucks monthly subscription is...hmm...lemme check * Retrieving #ethresh info... can't wait for CoV then, man it'll be an expansion pack? yes cool the next update is promising a dozen new powersets at the least wow yeah plus powerset customization so not everybody shoots blue lightning...some shoot red lightning? Not entirely sure about the specifics are the powersets really different? the ones I saw in the book looked kinda the same. just a personal pref whether you wanted a fire ball attack or a machine gun no, they are pretty different granted, a scrapper is a scrapper claws, sword, stuff like that? but i'm thinking of starting a new scrapper with dark melee, cause i know it's not going to be much like Spines yeah they're also talking about city damage yeah, it sounds like fun. so much the better that you can get friends involved. ooo, broken glass and the like? so if you fail a mission to stop a guy from detonating a bomb, the fucking building explodes in real time damn yeah and then construction crews go out and fix it up over time now that's freaking awesome and a great boon to Villains once the expansion comes out...hell, and entire part of the city was destroyed by a Villain named Faultline cool can you build superhero superhomes? like the justice league space station? and conversely, supervillian hideouts? that's coming, yes Villains endevour to build hideouts but then they will get invaded by heroes its their bag on the contrary, heroes will build homes that may or may not get letter bombed every tuesday do the villians get henchmen to get predicatably beat up by heros? i'd think so i dunno why not, except maybe for balancing issues i want to make a gang because that's awesome yeah maybe they just defend against heroes... perhaps heh i can't seem to find how much it costs i'd hope 15 or less whoever built the site is pretty smart yeah, never scare people with the cost sweet, mozilla downloaded I'm sick of IE brower security holes, I'm trying firefox no kidding firefox is good i dunno what crazy viruses i have but i know i get popups constantly, and even the updated adaware, spybot and every virus scanner i can find can help me I've heard good things about it. Worth a shot, I now have 5, count them 5, programs on IE I cannot remove or rather, can't help me heh Now that the ability to do that is well known, it will only get worse 15 dollars a month or a year for 150 hrm $15 isn't terrible, I guess. it would be the only subscription i'd have yeah well, shall we get started? We have subs being delivered soon too if you could find a document detailing your background, please send it to me so I can more easily work it into my storyline sure Unfortunately today will be a bit heavy on my side, got some explaining to do to set things up that's fine Very well... After recieving the cryptic message from your Liege, you set out to the dead city of Stygia for reasons unknown. You have been eager to prove yourself to your master, and this seems to be your chance. Having taken a small messenger vessel thusfar, you and your bodyguards disembark at the shores of the great dead capitol. You inhale deeply as the stand on edge of the dock. How could you not? The atmosphere is stagnant with the hint of rotting flesh, but not overwhelmingly so. The air barely moves and when it does, it grasps as though alive to your living skin, pulling the warmth from it. The sky is gray and devoid of any thing but murky monochrome clouds. The sun is still up, this being the late afternoon, but it is nearly impossible to tell where it is located in the dead sky because of the obscuring clouds. It is another beautiful day in glorious Stygia. As you make your way north to the address listed on your message, you take in the sights and sounds of the dead city. Shuffling throughout the nearby marketplace, the manifest spirits of the stubborn dead go about their daily lives. Some purchase glittering pendants and gems, others sickly shaped fruit grown right here in the lands of the dead. The architecture is what you would expect of a city this old. Ancient burial tomes line the street. These are homes to the most affluent of the city’s residents and there are quite a few to behold. Ahead is your objective. (damnit, one second, angel needs the phone for 10 seconds) * Disconnected Session Close: Mon Jul 12 19:33:45 2004 Session Start: Mon Jul 12 19:34:49 2004 Session Ident: #ethresh * Now talking in #ethresh (hrm) (stupid delivery guy needed to use our phone to figure out how much the food was. Well, if he was smarter he wouldn't be delivering subs would he?) * STdave has quit IRC (Ping timeout) * STd is now known as STdave (hahaha) (ok, back to it, sorry again) The ebony marble building is beautiful, like those around it. Oddly enough, you notice, there doesn't seem to be any slums in the city at all. That aside, you move towards the entrance were a rather old looking ghost in a doorman's uniform waits.* (it's all good) * Echoing_Words pushes his glasses up onto the bridge of his nose. He had not needed them since his Exaltation, but habit is habit. Besides, they were stylish, and even dead men need a sense of fashion if they're going to get anywhere in this world. With that in mind, Echo sucks in a breath of the shadow worlds decaying essence and released a tiny bit into his armor, warping it into a nightmarish flowing cape of black and gold. Cold gray skulls were emblazoned onto every inch of the hideous and long garmet, but most would just shrug it off as simply a trick, an illusion of light. No, they actually were skulls, or more accurately the mishapen idea those captured -inside- the artifact have of themselves. It suited the Abyssals purposes. He smiles and waves to the doorman even as his clothes change before him. "Greetings, I am the Echoing Words From the Darkness, here at the behest of the Bodhissatva Annoited in Dark Waters." Echo offers to the ghost he assumes will tell him where to go.* Despite the show of power, the doorman's eyes remain bored and barely look directly into your own. The entire way through the city, the fearful whispers of ghost followed you. This one seemed upset to be bothered by a being such as yourself, as if it was an everyday occurance. "Papers sir?" He asks abruptly.* * Echoing_Words smirks. "Of course." With a quick snap of his fingers, Echo summons his guard to his side. He had brought only five of his favored war ghosts with him today, four at his side, and a fifth...elsewhere. One of Echos bodyguards quickly hands Echo the artifact he was given, and Echo in turn shows the letter regarding the meeting in Stygia, signed by the Deathlord patron.* The dead doorman nods slowly and takes the entire soulsteel canister from you, glancing at the deathlord's signature in disinterest. With a pop, another piece of parchment slides from the black metal container into the ghost's hands. "Ahem," The doorman begins to read from the paper, "I, the Bodhisstva Anointed by Dark Waters, lord of the west and scourge of creation, do declare this day the Third of Crowning Cycle of Satesh, that my most trusted and loyal servant, the Deathknight Echoing Words of the Darkness "Shall from this day forth, for a year and a day, serve the Council dutifully and to the best of his abilities. He shall report only to the master of the Council and shall follow his orders to the letter in the best interest of the Underworld and the Blessed Void." The doorman's eyes roll in irritation and he hands you the paper to see.* * Echoing_Words blinks. He extends a single finger to his glasses, and pushes the frames up once more. His brow quirks a bit, and he loses his grin. "Serve the council? For a year and a day? Why, that's not so bad.." Echo smirks. His guards exchange terrified looks at one another, and then Echo snorts. "Well then. Shall I be ushered in? Or shall I simply send you to the pit and find my own way inside?" Echo asks, sounding surprisingly pleasent.* The doorman smiles slightly, "You took the news better than the rest. You understand what your Liege has signed you onto? No... well you will I suppose." He points to the parchment in your hand. At the bottom where you have touched it, a single red fingerprint burns slowly into the document. A slight shiver comes over you, one you recognize instantly. As a member of the Moonshadow caste, you would recongize the Oath anywhere. Apparently you just signed your life away. (Oath anywhere. App) you would recongize the Oath anywhere. Apparently you just signed your life away. The doorman bows slightly and waves you into the interior of the building. "They will stay out here." He motions to the bodyguards. The order is punctuated by you noticing the hall is lined with Jade Effigies, the timeless soldiers of the dead city. Peace would be kept here despite anyone's intentions. Besides, you surmise the Oath you just unwillingly signed protects you from violence here. Hopefully. Your bodyguards stammer for a moment, unsure of whether or not to leave their master.* * Echoing_Words rubs his eyes as he meanders down the hallway. He waves to the guards in an uninterested manner and simply expects they will wait for him outside. He has bigger concerns at the moment. Fears of assassination lingers in the back of his mind, but he doubts the Council would declare war on the Bodhissatva by attempting to kill his newest Exalted servant. Or would they? Echo ponders as he continues walking down the cavernous hall. * Echoing_Words just assumes he'll know the council hall when he sees it.* You come to what must be your destination shortly. The meeting hall is magnificent, even for a city so great as Stygia. Fine cotton funerary shrouds line the black marble wall. Ghostly green flames dimly flicker from torches while stark white gargoyle statues are perched throughout the hall. \ A long black table stretches the length of the hall. On each side of the table, four chairs have been set with a final, larger chair at the head. The entire room is elegant in it’s simplicity. But what draws your attention first and foremost are the people in the room. Seven... no eight of them are here. Some are chatting, some quietly looking pissed. Half are standing and half are sitting at the table, but they are all unmistakably Deathknights. They are all dressed in a similar fashion, so to speak. Their clothing is all black or gray and the sheer amount of Soulsteel in the room gives off a noticeable echo of the pained voices trapped within the metal. A number are plain looking, for Deathknights, and some are odd. One such is chatting merily with another knight. His bright blue tights and massive (almost comically so) Soulsteel scythe hanging idly on his back. This is a odd collection to be sure, but why are you all here? Near the middle of the table a woman with bright pink hair notices you and smiles, the first acknowledgement you've had thusfar.* * Echoing_Words can't hide his flickering brow. This is an event he had not expected in the least. He doesn't like being around other Abyssal Exalts, (the very thought of them makes his left arm hurt a bit) if only because they are creatures whose power rivals his own, even though their intellect does not. How strange, Echo thinks, that so many would be assembled all at once, and without guards too. Sworn to non-violence meant little to some. Still, why worry when there were Exalts to woo to his side. Whichever side that was... * Echoing_Words takes note of the woman, and decides that, being a female mark, and one who acknowledged him first, would be an easy beginning to this otherwise awkward situation. "Greetings fair Lady, I am Echoing Words from the Darkness. Dare I ask for your company for a moment?" Echo asks, flashing the same smile that has won him more than just negotiations.* (rolling your charisma+socialize, any charms to add?) (Nah) (3 successes from 9 dice) (Oh well) The woman smiles brightly, something you've rarely encountered amoung the dead. But then again, the Deathknights were not dead, not quite. They still had the spark of life within them, if was just a matter of personal preference as to how much of that spark they held onto outwardly. This one appeared most agreeable and has responded well to your inquiry. In fact several of the most outwardly nervous Exalts throughout the room look to your display and acknowledge you before returning to their discussions and/or brooding. The woman offers you a chair next to her own and introduces herself as Crimson Tears of Regret. www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/crimson.jpg "So," she begins cautiously, "What brings you to glorious Stygia?"* "Oh you know, this and that. I had to pull myself away from empire-building, if only for a day." Echo releases a snicker, then smiles again. "Honestly, I'd say the same thing that has brought you here. So what exactly is it that brought -you- here?"* She continues smiling, either masking her manipulation masterfully or being genuine, "I have been called to duty by my Liege, Eye and Seven Despairs." She waits proudly for a moment for the news to sink in. "In fact, this will be my first call to duty, I've only recently joined with rather elite club." She giggles slightly. He demenor shows it all clearly, she is indeed new to her Exaltation. One quick examination of the room reveals the same for all the others. Not a one could be more than a year old in his or her Second Breath. They were all children, what is going on here?* * Echoing_Words smirks. "I too am fairly new to my Exaltation. It is quite glorious though, isn't it?" Echo says, simply tossing out small talk while he examines the rest of the room. He wished they were all dead. Every time he blinked he saw himself in a suit of dead black armor surrounded by throngs of cheering ghosts as he tossed each and every one of them into the Pit. Echo's ambitions were biting at him, daring him to start something. Conspiracy perhaps? He only wanted these fools dead, but they could be useful in their own way...no, he thought. No. He had to learn about what was going on -before- launching into some vast campaign of betrayal and destruction. "So...do you know the names of these others who are here, Crimson? You don't mind if I call you Crimson, do you?"* Again she flashes the pretty smile and responds happily, "I haven't met them all, some are quite unpleasant." She motions to one such individual sitting alone at the end of the table, his arms crossed over his chest, looking rather pissed off. www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/pain.jpg "Otherwise, I have met Serenade of Ravens over there," She points to the woman. You immediately spot he artfiact... shirt, it would seem. The thing was surely alive as it crawled across her chest and upper body. www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/serenade.jpg "And that animated fellow over there is Howl of the Jackal's Blaspemous Feast," Upon hearing his name the odd Exalt turns and grins, taking you in like a piece of meat one inch at a time. www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/jackal.jpg "Otherwise you're the only other one I've met. I can't imagine why we're all here. And what's with this Council thing? I honestly haven't a clue as to why we're all here, but it must be important. We all seem to be from different Lieges, which means something is up." She trails off.* * Echoing_Words blinks. Indeed, all from different Lieges. Meaning getting everyone here was either some kind of united effort on the Deathlords part or it was some kind of third party. Whichever, it seemed strange on too many counts. "Interesting characters...well...so how long have you been in here? I hardly want to wait all day for some old ghost to tell us what we're doing here.." Echo sighs, allowing a little irritation out for the time being. * Crimson begins to respond but is cut off by the sound of a door opening behind her. The timing was perfect, of course. The Exalts had just enough time to feel each other out and get nervous, but not enough to get into violent confrontations. She was a master of such timings, and she took great pride in that abiltiy. After all, what amazing tricks you could pick up after one thousand five hundred years of unlife? She walked out and everything stopped. Every head in the room turning at the exact moment and looking her up and down. Dressed as she was, it was little surprise. The sheer dress left little to the imagination, but the veil about her face did. An elegant set of chains studded with tiny animal skulls wrapped delicately around her body. In a word, she was goregeous to the dead eye. The Lover Clad in Raiment of Tears.* * Echoing_Words idly pushed his glasses back up. How pleasent, perhaps the Lover would explain a thing or two. Although Echo felt somewhat disturbed by being in the presence of a Deathlord not his own, he nevertheless knew power when he saw it. Echo immediatly stands as the lady enters the room, and quickly bows in a long flourish. Brownie points, he thinks to himself.* The other Exalts do little but stare. The single thought jumps through each of their minds. To act now, to kill The Lover would mean instant and near god-like fame for anyone in the room. But more than the Oath holds them all back. The unmistakable feeling of a slight chill and dread fills the room with her. She is a being of extreme personal power, and her unseen bodyguard of ghosts has that much more. The tension of the moment is immediately broken when she smiles directly at you. "Welcome Echoing Words of the Darkness, it is nice to have you." The full meaning of the sentence hung in the air for a moment before every Exalted jumped to their feet to bow as well. Brownie points indeed. "Please be seated, there is much to discuss." She adds, motioning to the chairs. More than one Deathknight shoots daggers out of his or her eyes at your actions.* * Echoing_Words smiles and takes his seat. They can gawk all they'd like. He will watch them all die eventually anyways. Echo takes a quick glance around the room, and then turns his eyes to the Deathlord. She is wise, he thinks. She commands respect, he thinks. She must be here to explain the situation, he thinks. She must be destroyed, he thinks. Echo quietly reels in his frustration with the surroundings and his need to destroy all competition. Wish I had a gift for her, Echo ruminates as he waits for the Lover to begin her undoubtedly long-winded explanation. * The Lover sits last at the head of the table. As you look around you recognize a number of faces. The Bodhisstva does not send his operatives into the field without proper knowledge of their potential enemies. All eight you remember from their files, they are all newly Exalted and as far as the your Leige can tell, entirely untested in the real world. All have different Lieges. It is quite a sampling of the Deathlord's minions, but one of the major Deathlords is absent from this. But who? As you try to remember, The Lover begins the meeting. "Welcome all, thank you for traveling so far. I will not waste my time with pleasantries. You are all bound here, and you know it. Why? Perhaps you heard the rumblings on the way to Stygia. Perhaps your Liege has excellent spy networks." She darts her eyes to Crimson, who looks entirely too calm for the situation. "So lets get right to it, shall we? What could cause so much panic that all your masters have come together to fight as one? For those of you who don't know, The First and Forsaken Lion's forces have opening invaded creation." She pause to let the news sink in.* (openly invaded) * Echoing_Words blinks, and pushes his glasses back up. He's silent for the moment, but his mind is screaming. How could he had not heard of this sooner?! How could the Lion have attacked Creation at ALL? Why would he be so bold? Why would he do it at all?!? Why haven't the other Deathlords assembled a force to stop him a...and...and suddenly the meeting has newly defined purpose in his mind. Fuck. Echo was no warrior dammit. He needed time to kill people, not swords. This was bullshit most profound. He knew he had responsibilities as an Exalted champion of the Underworld, but reigning in the maddeningly large army of the First And Forsaken Lion? Echo would not be counted among those damned to die an uneventful death on a battlefield. His heart screamed for him to escape, flee and know freedom. His mind knew better, so he was silent. * The Lover smiles broadly, apparently enjoying the sight of the color draining from the assembled demi-god's faces. After another moment's time to reflect, she began again. "Indeed," answering the silent swear each Exalt had in their mind, "And as you know this represents a fundamental shift in the base of power in both the Underworld and Creation." "Thus, your Deathlords have come together to form this pact, this Council. We have been charged with steming the flow of this war and keeping our power," She did not have to add, our lives, "intact. Little is known at this point, including why he chose this moment to strike." "Perhaps most troubling is that no one, and I mean no one," She looked almost embarrased, if that was possible for a being such as herself, "knew this was coming. My astronomers continue to claim that neither the stars of the Underworld nor Creation had any warning of this event, impossible though it sounds." She sighs slightly and leans back in her chair. "Thus, we know nothing. And no, we will not be charging into battle against The Lion's minions. Such would be suicide even for every Deathlord's army combined. Instead we must find out why this is happening, and try to save ourselves in the process." "In 12 hours Stygia will be locked down. No one, including Deathlords may come and go after this time. Fear has spread throughout the ruling class and soon will spread to the streets. It will be all we can do to stop rioting..." She pauses before motions to a corner of the room. And there stands Haumphantine. Smiling that self righteous smirk he often has, looking as young as the day he died. The Lover continues, "I shall turn it over to Haumphantine, a respected member of the Bodhisstva's spy network. He will fill you in further." * * Echoing_Words twitches a bit. Another unforseen event. How he despised this situation. As soon as he claws his way up into the ranks of Exalted, his liege is sent running by some Forsaken fool. He couldn't stand it. Haumphantines arrival signaled only further frustration on the Echoing Words part.* The dead man gives you but a moment's glance before beginning. "Welcome all, I will be providing some initial reports that our spies have uncovered. He points to a map on the wall which must have been placed while The Lover was giving her startling news. It showed the southern half of creation and featured several arrows and colored blotches. "As you see here..." Haumphantine went on to show the fine points of Lion's invasion. He went on for awhile, but even though the intelligence was not terribly detailed, it did show one thing... "Entirely disorganized," The ghost continued, "This is like nothing I've ever seen. A child could have planned this better." "Groups of war ghosts, some in the hundreds, some in the tens of thousands are merely marching outward from these shadowlands. Entire cities are being ignored while others are being heavily assaulted. Massive losses seem to be pilling up on both sides and the Fae, whom many of you know to have a war treaty with the Lion, have yet to move." One of the young Exalts, a military one by the look of him, leaned forward in his seat, "What in the Void's name is the Lion doing? It looks like he's just unleashed his army in no particular direction at all, what gives?" The Lover smiles at the young man, "That is why you are here, dear child. Why, why, why. We have no clue. The Lion has practically abandoned The Thousand. He himself has dissapeared as has his general, Walking on Laughter. What we need is information, and we need it now. This doesn't seem to be an invasion of conquest." So what could it be? Blazed in the minds of all in attendance. The Lover looks to your side of the long table where 3 Deathknights and yourself sit. "You four will find out." A sly grin. "Go to The Thousand and get some answers."* * Echoing_Words digests the intelligence quietly, but is growing more and more impatient. The entire situation did not sit well with him. He saw oppurtunity, yes, but the entire thing stank. The Fae were not active, some cities were left untouched and begging for a leaders hand, and perhaps some military units could be manipulated to his cause, Echo thought. And yet, it all felt so strange... * Echoing_Words blinks again, then smiles. "Emptied you say? Then...it should be no problem. When do we depart?" Echo asks even as he wonders just who the hell he just got thrown in a circle with. * Three mouths drop open in shock. You seem to be the only one taking it well. True The Thousand has been largely abandoned, but an enemy stronghold is still no where to be wandering around. The Lover smiles at your immediately reply, "Shortly, before midnight if at all possible, you'll travel lightly with an escort for the first half of the trip. From there it's up to you four." She smiles. "As you see, none of my Deathknights are part of this group, my contribution shall be to lead you all and coordinate your efforts. The second team..." She gets out a piece of paper. "Shall follow this up." "This was intercepted by my spies in the Scavenger Lands. Nothing could be learned from the courier unfortunately." She reads off the text of the paper. It is worse than we feared. All were found dead and the library has been ransacked. It is with great sadness that I must inform you that your mentor has finished his journey in Creation and joined with the Maidens. I took three full days to reconstruct the scene in and around the observatory. Whoever, or whatever, attacked hit them hard and fast. What is most disturbing is the lack of any significant signs of a struggle. Nearly all the mortal guards were found near their evening meal in the barracks, not one had drawn a weapon. The two Terrestrial bodyguards fell less quickly, but the shock and terror of their final moments is frozen upon their faces. Our cherished and most wise elder fought bravely but ultimately failed. Once the fiend had slaughtered our comrades he took to plundering the trove of knowledge in the observatory’s library. Oddly enough, he passed up priceless texts for more mundane works and once done, he traveled south. (Frozen upo) moments is frozen upon their faces. Once the fiend had slaughtered our comrades he took to plundering the trove of knowledge in the observatory’s library. Oddly enough, he passed up priceless texts for more mundane works and once done, he traveled south. (whoop) How could one of our own, gifted with foresight beyond compare, not foresee this doom? My attempts to use magics to relive the final moments always end the same: a dark blur and laughter, always laughter. It is clear we face something not written in the tapestry of stars within Creation. I have stayed behind to remove the evidence of our presence and dispatched this letter with my trusted servant, Lowwel. Please see to his needs and send him back with your instructions. I will be waiting in Yane. The Lover ends the reading and looks up at the other side of the table. "This was discovered a mere 2 days before the invasion began. We think it might be related." She hands the document to the Exalt in the odd, blue tights. "Becareful however. There is a chance this could be related to the dissapearance of Profane Footfalls in the Resplendent Silken Ash of Hesiesh’s Pyre. Though he's the youngest of the Deathlords, he still wields great power. The other side of the table, shocked though they were, managed to nod. "Now," The Lover continued, "Are there any questions?"* * Echoing_Words just...pushes his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose. A bit much to take in. But why not? He was an Abyssal, a champion and demi-god. This was his duty. You know, even as Echo tells himself such things, his mind just wanders back to thoughts of oblivion, seawater, and bloody bonesaws. He sighs, and then smirks. "So. How is the Dynasty handling this? I imagine they are...interested." Echo asks.* The Lover smirks and looks over to Haumphantine. The elder ghost nods to you, "Yes, they are not happy. They haven't had much of a chance to respond as of yet. But word is their southern Fire Fleet has been ordered to transport Realm citizens and emessaries from the southern cities like The Lap back home and provide a defensive posture. At least for now." * (Question for you) (Locust Crusade) (yes or no) (no) (Okay) (at least not for a long, long time) (I have more than enough planned to get that mess involved) * Echoing_Words sighs. "One final question. If we encounter First and Forsaken soldiers, citizens under him, or even his Abyssal servants..what are the terms? Are we -all- at war with the Lion?"* (I reread it and now I find it somewhat interesting) (The whole Alchemical Exalted thing aside- i hate those fuckers with a passion) (But the idea of a nation living inside of a Primordial and then invading Creation is interesting. It's like an alien invasion...into the world of Exalted, heh) The Lover looks at you for a moment before responding, "Well, no, not exactly. However at this point there are no actions you could take that could further antagonize the Lion. He has openly said in the past his goals with his armies. We are to be crushed, all of us. Avoid confrontations were possible, but do not hesitate to kill his minions." (it is cool, and if I did use it I would want to make it the focal point, not just a passing mention as it would be here) (yeah) (though in a coupla months, who is to say they wouldn't take advantage of the aftermath of this campaign :) "Hesitate? I shall kill them to the last." Echo beams brightly, then stands. "I suppose I should introduce myself if we are all to be allies then. I am the Echoing Words from the Darkness, Emissary to my liege the Bodhissatva Annoited in Dark Waters. Pleased to meet you all, especially my circlemates for this journey." Echo does another bow.* (whoop) (Were you done?) "Just remember your goal is to provide information to the Council. We must figure out what the Lion is up to." (am now :) (Well then i do my little pose) The Exalts one your side of the table nod and introduce themselves as well. There is Crimson, of course, as well as that disagreeable fellow. His name is Betrothed of Pain. The other female is Corruption of the Sun's Gentle Warmth and the last member is a male by the name of The Soul's Twisted Design. www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/design.jpg www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/corruption.jpg (friendly fellow) www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/pain.jpg (design isn't as impossing as he appears, a lore nerd of sorts and your necrosurgeon for this journey) (if you'd like to end there for time reasons, we can go into more depth for your circle mates next time) (Yeah, we can stop there) (I haven't eaten dinner yet) very well, good stuff. Like I said, sorry to be heavy handed this episode, but it was unavoidable. no problem for pictures... http://www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/abyssal.html that's the way it had to be in the Devils Dues as well, as you recall is your source yep BUT we ended at a shitty time when we couldn't get very freeform, so i dunno about interest in restarting it that page will be updated from time to time as more resources become available cool i'd like to continue, once at least tristan or lance could play of course yeah http://www.angelfire.com/creep/dp/ well we got off to a bad start, heh is the homepage, with the dice roller if you need it how so? good stuff i didn't like the last session of the abyssals or devils dues? devils dues we've only had two of the abyssals hrm, we killed those blood apes didn't we? yeah or more to the point, lance killed the blood apes i'm gonna try to get that going again yeah please do, i liked it well lance wants to do this GURPS demon hunting adventure which is bound to be hideously short lived heh because GURPS isn't as forgiving a system as Exalted what is it? because it's...realistic if a nazi shoots at us all with an uzi, we all die, period ah dodge? You can't dodge bullets! What are you, Neo? HAHAHA! LOSER! Go make a new char. i don't know anything about it well exalted is similarly realistic for death, but combat is easily avoided so it's modern? all i know is i'm going to be a lost prophet turned mercenary because he decided his ability to see the future can be more lucrative this way during wwII cool not enough rpgs about that time period yeah, it sounds interesting enough its all swords or lasers, nothing in between i think it's just an infatuation between Wolfenstein and Chrno Crusade ah but...Chrno Crusade is nothing to be infatuated about and when he finds a new video game? depressing doesn't describe that show man heh it's a show? yeah Chrno Crusade is all about the Magdalene Order, a catholic group of demon hunters speaking of depressed, i hope angel isn't mad cool ha, about what? I picked a night she didn't have christian so I wouldn't have any distractions, but if I spend the entire night on the computer, she just sits around by herself being online for a few...hours? oh, gotcha I may move the night to tuesdays, I dunno yet that's cool I still can't see being an ST with dora the explorer in the background, but we'll see hahaha yeah also, any suggestions or comments are welcome well, get used to it, CoH will murder your free time remember this is my first ST job, so help would be apprechiated i mean, it will Hannibal Lecter that free time man. seems good thus far haha hopefully I'll have some more days off in the future... the whole "The world just said WTF" thing is a good intro I thought so too which i like, as you can tell from the devils dues "The Devil is loose, go get em" there will be combat too well i'd assume one does not walk into the Thousand and expect a warm welcome My thoughts are to form it based on stargate's stuff, a fight every episode hahahaaha such a flawless formula to draw on though but not neccessarily a big fight or an importnat one, just some action thrown in yeah that's fine, Echo can fight and with side episodes with an over riding plot just not terribly well cool that's fine i will say i'm going to enjoy fighting with just a bow though your circle mates can handle the up close stuff, they are all melee fighteres bow+dodge+ridiculous arrogance=good times heh plus you are right, with the chaos, you may end up leading a nation eventually may? Have you seen my charms? Prepare to be pwned, Creation. hah plus that fellow Profane Footfalls will be the evil guy eventually too i love how abyssals don't have any charms for just leadership or anything boring like that just straight up, here's how to ruin lives yep, fun fun that's cool alright, well i need food soooooo badly ok, later bye oh wait * Echoing_Words has quit IRC (Quit: ) shit * Disconnected Session Close: Mon Jul 12 22:06:18 2004
