Portugal the Azores, specifically. cool some tiny island chain far off the coast of portugal i think * Raido has joined #Ethresh * Raido is now known as Requiem the streets were so damned narrow...and the taxi drivers went only about 75 through them it felt like i was on a roller coaster ride just getting around I guess the people know better than to just walk out into the road Sounds like France You know... I think I have realized how people are getting to become so obese... So I'm hungry, but I can't find any food to eat, so I look at one of these swiss rolls in the pantry mmmmmm Not that big, probably about a long and thick as three of my fingers So I fiigure, "Well, how bad can it be?" I check... And I would be better off eating a whole pizza by myself And I'm still hungry! wow Little Debbie owns your soul now Yeah, couldn't bring myself to eat it No, I didn't eat it oh, finished Elfen Lied I grabbed an apple instead Hahaha There is apparently more suffering in the manga somewhere i just don't know what to say about the show hold on... Violence and nudity other than that...i just have no idea how else to describe it http://manga.clone-army.org/nana.php Start with #1 and work your way up I love #2 ROFL that's sick and...true I just love the last two panels It helps if you try sucking his "thing" so horrible He'll like if if you use youur hand too, like this so horribly accurate that entire anime has made me utterly innured to the consequences of brutal wanton mass murder wow... it gets horrible after a while http://manga.clone-army.org/nana.php?page=10 dear sweet jesus the next one is /worse/ yeah We should probably start bewfore I get sick IS THIS COMEDY? Agreed ok back, sorry about that ready to start? bleh good lord what did I miss? yes Dave never watch Elfen Lied what is it? or if you do...never tell anyone you did. Violence and nudity Don't worry, after that German midget thing, I'm all done with that stuff. We'll lets get started Since it's been like three weeks, here's a flurry of stuff from the last session Without any more delay, Ruin swings the door outward and draws his soulsteel firewand. A pale blue light rushes in from outside. It is an odd light, and seems to have replaced the faint yellow sunlight that greeted you upon your arrival. There is no one outside. Taking a step out Ruin looks around. Still nothing. Clouds cover the sky, but they are moving differently than they were before. They seem to be spin in a perfect circle around Blue Haven, as if the entire island was in the middle of a noiseless hurricane. Design gulps and looks down at the floorboard, "Anhk, what do you think?" But the eye is gone now without a trace. * Requiem closes her eyes and trembles Ruin returns to the room and says in a hushed voice. "Okay, something is happening. We need to get everybody together. There are two Deathlords out there, two First Age behemoths, and gods know what else." "Echo, I you're right, we need to stay out of the way." Ruin seems to stand taller, taking charge of the situation. "Somebody should go find the Lunars and Solars, they need to know what's going on. Perhaps they'll even fight along side us. That includes the Dragon-Bloods and their odd astrologer friends." He smirks, "So who wants to go?"* "Let the Lunars and Solars live and die on their own accord. They are Exalted, they can die like it. Me, I'm going to watch this. Besides...if we get involved we'll all be killed. I don't think anyone is in ANY hurry to see that happen. Let the killers kill and the players play. I don't know about you, but I'm somewhere in between." With that said, Echo strides out to meet the gathered behemoths and Deathlords.* Echo’s war ghost bodyguards follow him outside warily. Ruin, Crimson, and the others wander out as well, uncertain what to expect. What they find is absolutely nothing, just an abandoned floating city. Eerie is a mild way to describe things. * (I must be fucking nuts or something) (that was just the end of the last session's log) * Echo looks around just as cautiously as his bodyguards. It would be madness to try to defeat the gathered monstrosities..indeed..Echo had really quite planned on JUST doing some negotiating to save his own hide and maybe get ahold of the Mirror Abyss. Dealing with Behemoths, Yozis and Deathlords was an entirely different league of conflict. Better to keep his head down for the most part. He continues to meander about, trying to look small. He says nothing but nods quietly to the rest of the party, almost directing them to do a little scouting. If they are crazy enough.* V'Neef Guissan tugs on Requiem's dress. "I'm worried about my father, we need to find him."* * Requiem turns her mind inwards to the voices that whisper to her, blocking out all else that is occuring. Never has she looked to them for comfort, but perhaps she can use them to distance herself from her srroundings. (the others in the party consist of Captain Thein, Echo's brother Garen and a dozen of his pirates, aaannd, I think that's it) Ruin is the first to step up. He looks over at Guissan and nods his head. "Okay, some of us should go with Guissan to look for the Dragon-Bloods." Garen steps forward as well, "I know where their quarters are, they are most likely there. Who will be coming with me?"* * Requiem looks back at Guissan. "I will come as well." * Echo shakes his head. "Take the baby to his bottle. I need to find out what's going on here...where is the cataclysmic battle? Where is the population..? Too many questions, not enough answers." Echo sighs.* Ruin shrugs. "Okay then Echo, Crimson can go with you to find out what's going on." Ruin steps up beside Requiem and Guissan. Captain Thein strides up to Echo, "Okay, we'll follow you."* (Question: Are the behemoths still in sight?) (no, nothing is in sight... yet) (Okay) (And I just deleted my entire post. Dammit.) * Echo scratches his head and nods. "Alright then. Crimson, try to behave...Garen...watch her." He flashes his typical condescending smile then throws the Howler In Darkness over his shoulder. "Though that shouldn't be -too- hard. Let's get a move on." Echo adds, walking at a casual pace towards the citys heart.* As you move Echo, you get the distinct impression that something is watching you. You can't quite the shake the feeling, then you look up for the first time. (you and your group have gotten about 200 yards into the city, around two or three corners and have lost sight of Requiem) What you originally thought was part of the sky moves slightly and rumbles a deep roar. As it shifts more of it comes into view. It takes up the better part of the horizon. The behemoth is large, even by primordial standards. It has at least a thousand green eyes on thick stalks which waves about like tall grass in a gentle breeze. It has no other features to speak of and it simply sits there, apparently disinterested in doing anything. "I wouldn't move if I were you Abyssal." A deep voice resonates from the shadows.* Requiem moves in the opposite directions for about the same amount of time before her group stumbles into a horrifying sight. Splayed out on the cold wooden planks that make up the ground are at least a dozen Terrestrials in bright jade armor. Nothing seems to be moving, but one of the heaps is moaning.* * Echo halts all forward motion and slams his teeth together. His eyes narrow and he slowly looks more skyward. -Oh snap- is a phrase that springs to mind, but no words come out. His ghostly bodyguards stop what they are doing as well and proceed to go deathly still. An easy task for some. "And with whom am I conversing?" He asks of the dark voice.* A dark chuckles floats through the air and a massive figure steps forward, or more accurately limps forward. The sight of an eight foot tall man in soulsteel would be terrifying on it's own, but you've heard enough about the appearance of the First and Forsaken Lion to know it could be none other. Grisly soulsteel rivots covers his body, a constant reminder of the cruelty of the Malfeans. * * Requiem walks over to the moaning heap and bends down for a closer look Requiem clearly sees the man is Guissan's father, Dareus. Guissan takes a step backwards in horror, but any scream he might have made is cut off by a racous series of peircing laughs from the shadows. "Dare I venture a guess at your name, Lord? Am I correct in assuming you are the First and Forsaken Lion, master of the Great Legions of the Underworld? Or am I mistaken?" Echo asks, his voice dripping with uncertain sarcasm. He would love nothing more than to gloat of the failing of the oft believed to be insurmountable Lion, but now was not the time. * * Requiem looks around "Who is there? Make yourself known and stop hiding in the shadows." Dozens upon dozens of shadows shift and move into the dull blue light. Demons. Tons of them. Snearing with malice through sharp teeth. Most seem to be some sort of amphibian hybrid, likely the demons of a water Yozi. They make no motions to attack, but encircle Requiem's group.* (brb, cat calls) (Construction works whistling at you Brent?) First and Forsaken Lion takes another limp forward. A thin trail of black blood is running down his left leg. His voice doesn't betray any pain, but his body is clearly damaged. The behemoth makes no movements towards any of you, but is apparently watching with interest. * Requiem glares at all of the demons "So this is her game... Guissan, be careful I think they may be most interested in you." "Echo? Yes, Echo. You visited my home, The Thousand. How rude of you not to have an audience with me. Tell me why it is I should not crush the life from your body for killing my servants?" He glares at Captain Thein, who seems to shrink.* A voice plays about in the back of Requiem's mind, and she has little trouble placing the owner. That same girl that shrieked about Guissan belonging to her. But it's odd... the voice isn't speaking to Requiem. It is faint, but not impossible to understand. "See... death... only chance... me. Join me... give you... power." From beside Requiem, Guissan shakes his head in terror, grasping at his ears in confussion.* "You can hear her can't you?" Guissan looks at Requiem in a panic, "Get back! Get back!" He staggers backwards towards a demon. Glisteing claws sparkle in the dull light and the demon takes a step forward. The voice grows larger, "You cannot survive without me! Accept my gift!"* (I return!) "Don't be weak Guissan, she only wants to use your power. She only wants to drown Creation." Guissan shakes his head, "Power? What power do I have. Don't you hear her!? These creatures have killed my father and will kill us, she says she can give me enough strength to kill them and survive." * "Think about it, she controls these demons, why would she give you the power to defeat them. She's just using you." * Echo raises a brow to the First and Foresaken Lions statement. "You launched an invasion into the realm of my Liege, and the realms of all the Deathlords. I would have been more than happy to ask humbly for your audience, but I fear you would have denied it rather sharply." He sighs, flicks a bit of hair from his forehead and continues. "I didn't come here to fight you, Lord. Besides, I think I'd give you more trouble than you want. He claws at his head in torment, "No! I... I don't know!" The demons hiss in irritation and every pair of evil eyes focuses on Requiem. Ruin takes a step back, "Uh-oh."* * Requiem is going on the feeling of terror her visions have played upon her. Yes... she is using him, the strong only use the weak as pawns. The only promise things like power, and glory, and... love." "I've been being used all this time." * Requiem thinks hard. The Dowager killed her family and then fawned upon her like some injured thing... why? Lion continues limping towards Echo, his massive staff swaying casually in his right hand. "Yes. I would have killed you, but it would have been polite." From behind Lion Echo catches the fainted glimpse of something moving. Someone else in the shadows? * "Guissan, there is something important about you, that is the only reason she even let us live. Your father wasn't neccessary and look what she did. It's like my family!" * Requiem tears off her mask, causing it to materialize in the air "All this time... I've been playing someone elses game just because I am a prophet... All the things I've done. I'm sorry mother." * Requiem falls to her knees and begins sobbing Requiem's mask resonates softly. A faint voice drifts up to Requiem's ears. The words are indistinct, but the message is clear, her mother forgives her. * Echo takes a swift step back and raises the Howler In Darkness to meet his adversary. "You think of revenge for a few lost war ghosts...at a time like this?! This is the end! Creation, the Underworld...it can all be decided right now, but instead you choose pride over power? Over conquest?" He shakes his head, black essence dripping from his person as he takes another step back. (Incomparable Phantom Form- 5 motes, 1 wp) * "I'm tired of playing someone elses game. Guissan, we have to get out of here. I'm tired of all this... Ignore her... please." The ghostly image of Requiem's mother shimmers above the mask, "Remember my child, you serve the Malfeans, gods of death and eternal life. Do not let the petty Deathlord you serve cloud your judgement, do what is best..." The cube in Requiem's pocket rumbles slightly.* * Requiem looks at the cube "What does this do?" (Oh snap! Power or redemption!) The First and Forsaken scoffs and limps forward, now only twenty yards from Echo. "Is that Howler? Oh how I hoped to pry that from the Bodhissatva's cold dead hands. Your's will do just fine I think..." The shadow darts behind Lion again. (Echo can either call attention to the shadow or not... it'll be a man+soc roll to keep your eyes from looking at the shadow and giving it away... is that blue hair? Who the hell could that be...) (I do believe I'll keep that under my hat for right now) (or...try too) Requiem's mother smiles softly. "It is your birthright child. You and you along are worthy to sit at the right hand of the Malfeans. You are pure, beyond the petty struggles that bind the Abyssals and Deathlords... (You and you alone*) "But you must choose my child. Forever will you be bound to them if you use the cube. But is eternal darkness so bad? It is pure, complete, honest. You can be a great power in this world."* (3 successes, you succed Echo) * Requiem looks down at the cube, and listens to the voices that speak to her (err, wait. 6 successes, I forgot your bonus from Howler) (oops, nm (I was looking for the eternal damnation thing) (Crap... I feel so tempted. I'm trying to think what would make for a better anime ending) (It's kind of like Legacy of Cain: Blood Omen) Lion strides forward, more confident with each passing second. He raises his staff above his head and grins. "This is the end Abyssal." Without a word the shadow decends on Lion is a flash of blue light. * Echo growls, trying to avoid looking at the black shadow moving about behind Lion. Perhaps an ally...perhaps something worse. Regardless, Echo was not the biggest threat now. The First and Forsaken Lion was. If this shadowy thing was an assassin, at least it would surface long enough to kill the Lion before proceeding onto him. Hopefully. "You're a broken toy, Deathlord. Something that used up its purpose long ago, and has now reappe * Requiem looks at the cube "You're a broken toy, Deathlord. Something that used up its purpose long ago, and has now reappeared for just long enough to be thrown away. You are not the future." Echo grits his teeth, and in the back of his head there is one phrase- "I am."* (Woops) The cube is painfully simple and beautiful. (If you expend a point of willpower it will activate) "Do I want this?" Lion roars in rage and pain, dropping his staff. His right arm plops to the ground and he spins, only to catch a black boot in the face. He staggers backwards, mere feet from Echo. He waves his hands forward but cannot see his attacker.* (Lion's back is turned to you Echo) "There was a time when I needed you, Deathlord. I needed you to give me purpose. I needed you for reason and justification in my quest. You have served your final, grisly purpose." With that, Echo heaves the Howler In Darkness up and then thrusts it straight down, towards the Lions center of mass- his exposed back.* * Master has joined #Ethresh * Master looks at Guissan. For the firs ttime she noticed how handsome the boy is. If she sells her soul to the Primordials she will have the power to protect him, everyone she cares about... But she will be forever tainted... Could she even stay with him after that sort of change. * Master is now known as RequiemPr * Requiem has quit IRC (Ping timeout) * RequiemPr is now known as requiem * requiem is now known as Requiem * Requiem looks at the spirit of her mother "Who are you really?" Nothing more than a mundane clank of soulsteel on soulsteel (if such a thing can be called mundane) sounds from the impact. The Howler finds a seam in Lion's armor and the blade sinks almost half a foot into the Deathlord's body. Lion doesn't notice at first, far to focused on pooling his essence to unleash a hellish firestorm of power in the direction of his attacker. Requiem's mother smiles again, "Daughter, death cannot break our bond. I am your mother and this choice is yours and yours alone." Red essence streaks in every direction from Lion's outstretched hand. The shadow's stealthy form gives way to the visage of the Deathlord Profane, who now shrieks in torment. * Requiem places the cube on the ground and looks at Guissan His body is rent and torn, his limbs splayed in all directions. He tumbles to the ground and howls in misery. Ants, spiders, centipedes and other vermin pool around his body, but the magic that sustains his earthly form cannot revive him this time. With a mourful bellow, he sinks into a pool of insects and fades away. Lion begins to smile but pauses at a tingle in his back... "I don't care what happens after this... But know I sacrifice great power, possibly power that can easilly save our lives, because I am tired of playing the part of a simple pawn. " Guissan is terrified, one of the demons has placed his arm around the young man's shoulder and is licking the Dragon-Blood's neck. Other demons howl in laughter. Ruin frowns. "I don't think we can handle them all, what's going on??"* * Requiem looks at the demons and her devotion wavers again * Requiem 's mind races. I don't want to die. I don't want Guissan to die. But I don't know if I can become one with darkness. I've been used for far too long. But... Guissan needs my help... Something akin to a static charge builds in Howler in Darkness and Echo is propelled backwards from his blade by a shower of blue sparks. His hands are sore, but he is uninjured. The blade remains in the Deathlord's back. Lion staggers slightly, uncertain of what is happening. "How could... impossible. Only He Who Holds In Thrall could create such..." He gasps, "And he would not give such power to welp of an Abyssal!" Lion groans and falls to his knees, clutching at his temples. Bright streaks of blue engery fly about his body and he convulses violently. He stretches his arms up into the air and screams, "IMPOSSIBLE!!!" The behemoth takes a step back. Perhaps that is wise.* A demon in the distance disappears instantly. Ruin turns and looks with interest. A smiles grows on his face. "Ankh..."* "Guissan! Don't give in no matter what! Look at me, I refuse to play a part in the games of anyone anymore, and I don't care what that costs me!" * Requiem smashes her foot down as hard as she can on the cube * Echo opens his eyes wide as the Howler makes its presence known. "I have outgrown you." Echo hisses under his breath as he proceeds back up as quickly as he can. He waves to the ghosts and pirates to back up as well, though they hardly need a cue.* The cube shatters like glass. Somewhere in the pits of the Underworld near the very edge of the Abyss, the Malfeans stir in anger. (We gonna die!) Everyone in Echo's group runs like crazy. The energy field continues to expand. Crimson runs back in the direction Requiem went, uncertain of what else to do. "Guissan! It's up to you, somehow you are important! Don't give in!" Ankh roars into existence yards away from Requiem and Ruin, tendrils of black ooze streak out lancing demons by the score. A howl goes up in the distance and the multi-eyed Behemoth turns towards Ankh. Guissan sobs and falls to his knees. The demons behind him is split neatly in two halves by Ankh, but Guissan doesn't notice. He is talking to himself. "She says she can bring back my father... is that true? What can you give me that she cannot?"* (He's pulling a Shinji! Take your top off!) (eer, that last part is confusing, he is asking Requiem what she can do that Kimberry cannot) "I threw away power for you. I can give you the freedom to make your own choices from now on... and... I can give you love. Please... take my hand, and whatever comes after... don't let go." (Guh... I need to drink more) Guissan takes a shaky step forward and embraces Requiem, tears running down his face. All around Requiem's group demons and destroyed by Ankh's tendrils. The Eyed behemoth finally draws away Ankh and the two go off to do whatever it is that behemoth do when the fight, luckily fairly far away. It is once again eerily quiet. In the distance behind Requiem Crimson and the others come into view, running like their lives depended on it. Guissan whispers to Requiem's ear. "Thank you. I knew that you would choose me." The voice has an odd edge to it. "I knew you would be weak. Choice love and light over death and power. My cousins choose you poorly my dear, and they shall pay the price." Guissan smiles now, clutching Requiem tightly. * Requiem 's eyes suddenly open in shock A dim green glow comes from Guissan's eyes.* * Echo rubs his temples very carefully and squats down. "Requi..." He says, eyeing the other party. "Ruin...what the hell is going on here?" He asks in a hushed tone. Something bad, no doubt.* Ruin takes a look at Guissan and takes a step back. He hisses in a low voice, "Akuma..." (Oh Requiem, how you've become like Nana. Why can't you be nice and sweet, like my Vanlilla Vodka and coke) (She still has limbs) (Not for long) Guissan squeezes Requiem even tighter, "You have delivered this world to me. Thank you."* * Requiem concentrates * Requiem takes the fear, the rejection, the lonliness in her soul and hardens it, turns it into needles inside of her * Requiem she lets them tear through her, worm their way outside of her, until finally the reach the surface... and explode outword (Thousand Needle Torrent) Guissan's eyes buldge in surprise. Ruin leaps backwards but is caught by a hail of needles and stumbles to the ground in pain. Garen and his pirates hit the deck and manage to get only minor cuts and bruises. Everybody else is too far away to be affected. Guissan grins in shock, a driblet of blood snaking it's way down his chin. "So..." He released Requiem and staggers backward. The entire front of his body is red with blood. His clothing is soaked through and his flesh sticks through in grisly patches. * Requiem looks at Guissan through eyes of hatred "You... I trusted you..." Guissan opens his mouth to speak, but words do not come. His eyes flare in anger and then fade to horror. The dim green light is gone and Kimberry's essence escapes into the night air. Guissan blinks. He mouths the words, 'What happened?' * * Echo grabs a falling needle out of the air as it bounces off of his armor harmlessly. He outdistanced this one at least. He takes off for the child prophet at a full sprint. "Requiem! What madness is this? Isn't that the Dragon-Blooded boy..?" He asks, slowing his run to a quickened walk as he approaches her and the prostrated Ruin.* * Requiem stares in horror "No..." * Requiem 's eyes fill up with tears "No... no no no..." Guissan's eyes well with tears and he waivers slightly, he says weakly, "She promised we could be together, you and I." He falls to his knees and gasps. * Requiem falls tot he ground and grabs him in her arms "I told you not to trust her... She only wants to cause pain..." His head flops softly on Requiem's shoulder and he exhales. He is still. * Requiem kisses his forehead and gently sets him down "Now what Kimberry?" Beneath Requiem the broken bits and pieces of the cube crunch under her knees. Something moves slightly, as if the air is disturbed. (Hmmm... I wonder how many points of ressonance I'm building up) A vision darts through Requiem's mind briefly. Kimberry is running in terror and screaming - "NOT HIM!" - but does not explain... The dull blue light in the air gives way, and the impossible happens. The sky above Blue Haven opens slowly, revealing a pitch black night sky, stars and all. Both the behemoths pause and step away from each other. They hiss an ancient curse and sink into the dark water, leaving not a ripple. Slowly the stars seem to fade. Odd that is.. since it is midnight. A dull glow appears on the horizon in the distance. Ruin takes a step back. "No no no no no no no." He begins to weep softly. "Not him..." * * Requiem looks at Ruin "Who is it?" Ruin rolls onto his back in pain. He steadily raises to a knee and looks at the rising sun. He remains silent.* "I leave for -one minute- to kill the First and Forsaken Lion, and you people ...do something. What exactly did you do Requiem? I gather you killed the Dragon-Blooded boy, but that certainly doesn't explain the disappearence of our massive 'friends'." He rubs his temples and sighs.* The sun, impossible as it is, continues to rise lazily into the once night sky. Requiem feels a deep discomfort in her stomach. * Requiem cringes as the sun rises Suddenly a massive barb of black immaterial essence shoots forth from the ground beneath Requiem's feet. It touch not ground nor air, but Requiem's very being. Requiem feels as though she has been run through with a lance and stares horrified at what sits atop the top of the dark spear... a tiny ball of black essence. Her essence. Crimson shrieks and runs behind Echo. Ruin staggers away as well. Though none here have actually seen the hand of a Malfean, this must surely be it.* * Requiem stares at the ball of essence and smiles a grim smile "I suppose if this is my punishment, I've earned it." The sun is now at it's peak, seemingly looking directly down on the group. The barb of black essence seems to be holding Requiem's shard upwards in offering. A voice trails the back of Requiem's mind, the last she will ever hear. "We are very, very dissapointed in you Requiem. Watch your back." * Echo blinks and takes yet another step back. His teeth grit and for once he's legitimately shocked. Whatever has been happening...the Malfeans have been watching at least. Apparently they are not pleased. "By the Black Gods. What have you DONE Requiem?!" Echo cries, his hands wrapped around his head. NO DAMMIT! She was supposed to be the key! She was HIS to use! His pieces were falling apart on the gameboard, and he was not pleased.* * Requiem grins A brilliant flash of light illumiates Requiem and the barbed tentril of essence retreats into the ground. Requiem's essence hovers in the air turning and churning in tormet. Slowly, it fades from pitch black to golden white. It gives off a beautiful light and it drift back into Requiem's chest. And everything goes silent for the Solar once known as Requiem. The Malfeans gave her ears to listen to their voices, and this they take away. Requiem will never hear again. "Be disapointed... I am tired of your games..." A presence floats around Echo's mind. "YOU, hehehe, thank you Echo. We are most pleased with you. Ignore that child, she her fate? The fate of the weak? You have given us Lion again to torment and play with. We thank you. We'll be watching you Echo. Closely."* (*Ignore that child, see her fate?) Instantly the sun winks away, leaving everybody in the semi-darkness of a quiet summer night.* * Requiem smiles as tears fall from her face "Free..." ("Bang!") * Echo is no sorceror. He has a meek understanding of the mystic arts. But he is not blind. As the essence of the childs soul is 'restored' and returned to her bosom, Echo is left not weeping for her loss as a circlemate, but a gain. The Malfeans speak to him, polluting his very mind with darkness hitherto unthinkable. Suddenly he was left staring at the board once again. His rook was alive and well, it seemed. Requiem cannot hear her own voice.* (So sad) * Requiem thinks... So... This is what freedom has cost me... The voice floats around Echo's mind once more. "Twelve? Twelve... we do not like that number, no we certainly do not. Lion's existance will be marked by great pain and then dissolution when we are done with him. We need thirteen again. Yes, thirteen is better. Make us believe you are worthy Echo, we will be watching you." The voice trails away, leaving Echo to his own thought.* "You are welcome." He utters, a monstrous grin cracking across his face like a whip. Now there was only the simple matter of clearing the board. "Make safe the city. It will be a shadowland soon. It shall be my dead kingdom, and from here I shall watch the world perish." He commands to the few ghosts that were present. "I will watch it burn." With that, Echo holds out a hand towards Requiem, a horrid smile clinging to his visage Requiem, if that is what she still chooses to call herself, no finds herself a Solar surrounded by Abyssals. (clinging to his visage) "Be my princess, Requiem. Together we can become great." Echo says, though his words, his terrible, terrible words, his greatest weapon in the world, are little more than wasted air to the deaf Solar. His soulsteel hand remains held out, its jagged digits waving Requiem into its inviting grasp.* * Requiem looks at his hand, and turns away * Requiem knows what Echo is asking, at some basic level. Though his words don't reach her, she can feel the intent. She picks up the body of Guissan, and begins walking off intot he distance (http://img222.echo.cx/img222/4112/image1cw.gif) (Nice) Echo is now a thing to behold and fear. Beside him Crimson kneels in terror, horrified at the thought of displeasing Echo. Ruin kneels as well, perhaps he has found the true voice of the Malfeans? Or perhaps another Deathlord. Design kneels behind them all, confident he has found a friend and worthy master. Blue Haven will indeed rise as a shadowland, one of the mightiest. The future of it's king, however, is uncertain. And Requiem is allowed to walk away and think about the choices she made and the lives she changed. Will she return to the life she has known all these years or forge ahead to some bright new destiny? For once, it is up to her. ************************************************************************************************* (CAMPAIGN *) woot * Echo pushes his glasses onto the bridge of his nose...and grins. I -had- to add that. perfect wow That was fun my first complete campaign it was gooooooooooooood yes yes yes ! That was great, thank you both you guys pulled it in an entirely different direction, it was great 11 month, 24 sessions! wild simply wild and 50,305 grammar and spelling errors from me! w00t jeez, that was a preocupation for an entire YEAR. Pretty much the entire time I was 24, amazing seriously that was crazy I feel kind of sad though like watching the ending of FFX heh i mean, yeah, we finally "won". But in the end...so much time on those characters...they are like relatives now. Shit, I spent more time with Echo than I have with Grandmom. HAH well it's the journey not the destination You can always use them in future Exalted stories ...sort of seeing as the Lions invasion and the ultimate battle for the fate of Creation kind of fucked over...uh...the world. True dat true. It will be tough to only use parts of the campaign on the other hand, shit like this happens all the time in Exalted though the invasion was FAR less intrusive than it could have been remember he didn't attack to conquer, he attacked to find Guissan. he ignored many places and burned many others it's /Exalted/. Mortals pretty much assume, no, EXPECT to see something utterly catastrophic on a yearly basis if you live in the Threshold and -don't- see a battle for the survival of Creation itself, you're just not looking hard enough. indeed Echo the Deathlord as a nemesis in future campaigns... hmmm perhaps perhaps but I won't be running another campaign for a loooooong time And Requiem, the tragic and deaf Solare not that it wasn't fun... Angel is going to hulk smash you. heh, I particularly liked Requiem's ending Yeah, so sad And yet, something to be happy with very true, I liked your choice. I just assumed you'd use the cube I kind of wanted the power... But the more I thought about it, the ore I realized Requiem would choose redemption Although getting there was... weird heh so when are you joining the Demon campaign?!? heh I suppose I could right away. I told angel i'd still be playing once a week Yeah thank God I'm playing a nice young man in that Never playing an adolescent girl ever again heh good call aw, come on. it was sweeeet the next session will be thursday, but probably won't be a good time to intro your character Too confusing... so many changes and stuff... noticing boys, and having to deal with social pressures and self image problems... what day during the week is good for you anyways dave? the whole whispers dead gods tuesdays are still fine tuesdays might end up working out for everybody then unless otherwise updated, next tuesday will be your first session. although i *do* need to do your prelude shazbot. I might have a job soon, not that it matters I guess... It's not like I'd be working until midnight oh well, i'll figure it out awesome ending indeed Wow... according to this virginity curve, 10% of black 12-year-olds have had sex very happy on this end, I hope you both enjoyed it You are drunk Lance, go to bed. Never it was very cool. I enjoyed it immesnesly good good, now I expect great things from you brent on your campaign * Requiem is now known as Raido god damnit, mine won't be the only one to be played the whole way through!!!! And it can stay this way Heh I might work on my own as well, but it will be set in the future I have high(er) hopes i really want to play my Lookshy Solar but eh, oh well. I know, so many characters, so little time that Exalted MUSH is kind of fun too. Being an Immaculate is making me into the most pompous bastard in the world. Everyone is afraid of me! there are always mini-games yep I'm hungry again... That apple sucked just give out a ton of exp and let people spend it at the end of every session so the characters can change (if you want) and you can do a 10 session campaign yep i doubt the Siege of Guiles Point was even 10 and i kind of liked that no, i don't think it was 10 it was fun, I wish we could have had more time to get deeper into it yeah could always do a sequel, though it wouldn't be as epic why's that? It would be confusing too well you know, what with the Siege being over and stuff doesn't mean there aren't more battles to fight elsewhere. Hell, lets invade Lookshy! That would be a hell of a fight Nobody should invade Lookshy Lookshy=Israel obviously something would have to happen... hmmmm Attackers check in, but they don't check out. perhaps the Realm makes a desperate deal with a Deathlord? ..Aspect Book: Earth Mnemon tells MoW the following: Handle Lookshy and you get to keep the Scavenger Lands. nice. can't argue with that he didn't what the hell does the Realm care about the scavenger lands anyways? they have theirown problems Well Mnemon knows there is a civil war coming...she can't have Lookshy getting involved. she is gambling that the enemy she doesn't know is easier to deal with than the enemy she KNOWS she can't beat. that would be embarrassing, and potentially horrible but the risk is in 50 years mask of winters consolidates his power and now a quarter of creation is a shadowland. Then he sets his eyes on the realm Yeah well, as far as she is concerned his is an army of mindless zombies led by a few exceedingly dangerous assassins kind of well it is oh well, it makes for some good drama yep plus you never know what crazy shit will happen to turn it all upside down yeah Solars show up, turn Mnemon into an annoying pidgeon. Realm unites under their banner of hilarity. why not? alright, i should go to bed or something scarlet empress led the realm why can't somebody else unite it under their rule? * Echo is now known as ST * ST carries this name for ...awhile, hopefully. what's the name command? it's /nick * STdave is now known as Torrent hmmm not bad ok, good night all. See you around! Session Close: Tue May 17 21:46:16 2005
