My Poem


It was a dark cold night...

not anything in sight...

She was walking down the street...

just looking at her feet...

From the corner of her eye she saw a shadow coming...

She thought nothing of it, and continued on her way

When she stopped to tie her shoe, she noticed something...

strange but true

This time she wondered what could this be?

Is this really happening....
or is it just me

It started to come closer...

but she couldn’t move a muscle

She started to panic and tried to get away

but whatever it was wanted her to stay

She felt a great warmth from behind her and turned to look

The thing that she saw was not scary at all but had a great smile on its face

She felt much relief

but when she went to touch whatever it was, it disappeared....

The relief went away and until this day she has still not been seen....

Was what she saw her destiny...or was it all a dream???Where did she go...we do not know....
