Dear Heavenly Faculty Members,
I was shocked and disturbed to discover the curriculum you are using to teach my child at Life. This Life has been, under the nose of concerned parents, teaching children about subjects such as suicide, sex, violence, and abuse!
This Life is responsible for the maturation and upbringing of my child, which I had thought to be an esteemed calling. I had thought that deities such as yourself respected this duty enough to understand the importance of nurturing children, taking care to keep them on the right path. How are my children supposed to learn the right things when they’re constantly bombarded with curriculum encouraging the wrong things?
As a concerned parent, I am calling for all sex, violence, death, and abuse to be censored from my child’s Life. I understand that as a heavenly faculty, you are also concerned for my child’s growth; but I cannot see how these concepts help them grow in a positive way. Just skimming through this “Life” you’re teaching my child, many excerpts stand out as particularly terrible:
“In the last 45 years suicide rates have increased by 60% worldwide. Suicide is now among the three leading causes of death among those aged 15-44 (both sexes).”
“Over 100,000 people were killed in the recent tsunami.”
“41.7% of all persons age 12 and up have used illicit drugs.”
These are just a few of the many atrocities you are teaching our children in this Life. There are many things you could be teaching, but for some reason you, who have our children’s growth in your hands, decide to teach them this.
There is no reason for children to go to a Life that teaches such horrible things. You may think that I am naïve for protesting such curriculum, but I’d rather be naïve than corrupted. What bothers me is that you have removed that choice from my own child. Instead of showing him things that are good and letting him decide for himself if he wants to learn pain, death, and other nasty things, your Life is forcing corruption on him!
Frankly, you are undermining the parents who simply want to care for and nurture their children. Until all sex, violence, death and abuse have been censored from this Life, I cannot allow my child to learn here and run the risk of corruption.
