I set up the pool with both of these scoring methods: standard scoring + seed scoring.
Standard Scoring – To get points for Standard Scoring a player must correctly pick a team to win a certain game. Points are then awarded based on the points I assigned for that round.
Example: Joe picks Nebraska (#6 seed) over Minnesota (#2 seed) wins a 2nd Round game.
With Standard Scoring, if Nebraska wins this game Joe would be awarded the number of points that I assigned to the 2nd Round in the Standard Options frame. If Nebraska loses this game or does not make it to this game, Joe gets no points.
I set the points per round as follows: a first round win is worth 1 pt., the second round 2pts, Sweet 16 worth 4pts., Elite 8 worth 8pts., FInal 4 worth 16, and Finals 32pts.
Seed Scoring – To get points for Seed Scoring a player must correctly pick a team to win a certain game. Points are then awarded based on the Seed Scoring type you selected.
Example: Jane picks Iowa State |
