Image manipulation

In the first year of the HND in Interactive Media, we had a class which delt with using appilcations like Photoshop and Illustator. Using these tools were we to find graphic images and recreate them with the two for-meationed applications. The images in which I have re-created are below.

It was a challenaging class for me to o because of my sight and it is a very visually based section of the course, so I did suffer as I was unable to see some of the smaller detils which make the image what it is. But even so I think I did fairly well with the re-creation of my chosen images

This piece was orginally done by Neville Brody. I re-creted this by using the pen-tool. It was my very first piece and it took the longest to do, because I was unfamliar with the use of the pen too. I think it turned out really well and set beside the orginal I believe that it is very nearly spot on.

This piece was done orginally by Marha Leena Pelho, a spanish graphic designer. I don't really like this piece, I believe it could have been better done, and honestly I don't believe it looks anything like the orginal. I used layers to create this piece, and played around with the resoloution tool. But I think the over all effect fails. rust
Girl in a banana, more specifically me. This was done more for humour sake than anything. It wasn't the more difficult manipulation piece I have done, but it was challenaging in its own way, trying to merge yourself with banana isn't easy. I used layers to achieve this piece, and a little bit of the pen tool. I believe the over all effect is good, slightly surreal though. banana

This is a two part piece and I have to admit my favorite one, both creating and final image. It was finding the images which proved the most hassel as I coukd really just jump on a plane and go to Brazil to get an actual picture of the statue. And I was unable to find a nice clean looking angel positioned as I needed it to be to fit in either the train or the elevator.

To create this image I used layers, the pen tool, the Burn and Dodge tools to help me create the right amount of shadows and highlights within my image, to give the impression that he really wa in these places.

I think the over all images worked well, and as I said above I believe out of all my manipukktion pieces I am proudest of these two, though there are a few minor problems with both the images. Again thi is due to my sight.
