Photography |
Within our Art History and computer Application class, we took a look into the photography as our last task, and within this we were able to experienment with the various cameras ones which can be dated back nearly 90 years. This was extemely fasinating to me as I have a keen intrest in photography and past technologies, some which even by todays standards are excellent.
We were also able to work within the Dark-room, deveopig our own photos , this had to be my favorite bit, unlike the digital cameras, when you finally get that one image, its far better than the maybe 5 good images you go from your digital camera because you really did create it on paper.
Below are some of the pieces which I did for that class of my first year HND. Abd some which I took at home. |
Animals
Part of my project was to go on location, and so I decided to take my animals and get a few shots of them, and in the middle of doing this I realised something. In the pictures I was taking of them, I really say pieces of their personality in them.
Bailey is a the biggest out of all my animals, he lords it over them, while being the older wiser one but he's also very playful when he wants to be. And I was able to capture those moments on camera
Beckham, my silly Old English. He's just still a puppy at 8. A very air-headed, lovable thing, who gets over- excited over walks and treats.
And Gizmo, like any cat he's elegant and dignitfed and also puts the dogs in their place when they need it. He loves going on walks when the dogs are. A cat who hates being left out!

Angelic Vice and Demonic Virtues
These pieces were my studio based pictures. When I orginally gotten my idea, I really wanted to do black and white photography, because I thought it added a bit of that classic elegance that only black and white is able to acheive in my opinion.
When I began to plan out my idea, I had orginally thought of angels and demons. Which then led into thinking of virtues and vices. So I began to plan, but then I stopped half way though my planning stages and thought 'Why does the angel have to have the virtues and the demon vices?' and then I began to think what would happen oif it was the other way around and and I came up with my Humanity pieces, because isn't being human about having faults.
My images are a mix between black and white and colour and I experiement with both digital and film cameras for this piece. |

Out and about
These are just pictures I have taken over the years and am quite proud of, there is no meaning behind them except I thought they were nice settings. |
