Hi, thank you for looking through my portfolio. My name is Suzanne Smyth I am a 20 year old media student from Southern Regional College, in the Banbridge College. I am lucky enought o live with the Banbridge town and in walking distance of the tech.
I am currently doing my HND in Interactive Media, this will be my 2nd year doing this course (and my last!) but I have been attending Banbridge campus for four years now, doing a 2 year National Diaploma in Media and Moving Image previously. I have to admit this year has been my most challenaging but also the worst year Ive had in four years! It is mostly a course this year on web-design, and though it is intresting enough, four units on the sme thing is quite enough for me thanks!
But that aside, it has taught me alot of skills which will help me go on, be it in education (fingers are cross for Queens or Lurgan). But lso if I wanted to leave in June and get a job, I will have the skills and the knowledge to go on and do as good of a job as I can at whatever I choose.
Though I must admit that I have two places in mind for after leaving the SRC and neither are a job quite yet. I still have a lot to learn I believe and need more time to better myself before I think I could do a good enough job within a work-place.
I wish to go on to get either my degree in Queens University in Belfats in Film Studies and Hisotyr. Or Lurgan campus to gain my degree in Creative Imaging, both course which I enjoy, yet are complete oppisites both in content and learning.
As for a job I have my eye set on either a position as a media researcer with a telelvision or radio company or as an archvist, all that dust and book! Heaven.
I know my goals and I know what I need to have and be to get to them and this course and the previous course has begun to help me reach those goals but I still have a bt to go, as my portfolio shows, but Im at a good middle space, so here's to the future.
