This is to date the best game of my life!
I prayed for a year to meet the Tigers, and God has blessed me more than I deserve!
It stopped raining, well actually we just "outran" the rain. We got under the awning of Comerica Park and it just opened up, I thought for sure we'd have a rain delay. Since the field was so wet, they were still going to do the Photo day, just not out in the outfield, and I was glad for that, so we went looking to where the guys were going to be. I looked up and Craig Monroe and Nook Logan are right in front of me. HELLO!
We walked along for a while, then we saw Brandon Inge, Carlos Guillen, Rondell White, and Magglio Ordonez. I was taking pictures and Wayne could get a better shot, so he took my camera to take pictures, then I saw him: My favorite... He was so close: Omar Infante was RIGHT THERE, and I didn't have my camera:(
I told Wayne we were waiting in line! I waited at least 20 minutes! Some of that was not under an awning, during a downpour! I also had a discussion about who was the best gum chewer the Tigers had, and who our favorite players were with the people around me. I love them all, but I really like Omar.
I finally got up there...my heart was racing...I couldn't believe I was about to meet my favorite player! I got up there and got my picture taken between Omar and Placido, and Omar put his hand on my shoulder!
Then I called my sister to tell her that I had just had my picture taken with Omar, and she was like "don't call me until you meet Alan Trammell" and Wayne was like "there he is" right in front of me! Security is trying to take him away, it was almost game time, and then someone asked him for a picture, and he was like "okay, I can do one more" I put my camera up and grabbed a picture of him. He walked right in front of me! He was close enough to touch. I COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW NICE HE SEEMED...very different from the field:)
Later I was standing up front while Omar was playing catch with Guillen and Ordonez, and I called his name and he looked at me until the camera flashed and then went back to playing.
The weather cleared up, obviously, and we won the game 5-2. Joe Mauer, my favorite Twins Player hit a homerun, if someone had to, at least it was him:)
It was 80 degrees at game time, it had only been 67 degrees earlier!
God was definitly in this game! He provided someone to go to the game with me that would enjoy it as much as I would. Good weather, and I still met Omar and Polanco!
I hope I didn't bore you with the details. Here are the pictures. Some didn't turn out too well since it was dark on the landing, but I hope you get the just of them anyway. If you look in the background of the pictures, you can see how dark it was and how light it ended up.
Here are some pictures from the game

Some of these pictures were taken by my friend Wayne...PLEASE DON'T USE WITHOUT PERMISSION! Wayne also took some of the pictures with my camera because I couldn't get a good shot, or I'm in the picture (the one with Omar) Just to credit him:)
