Gloucester County 4-H BIS
Jeldamae's Faith
Jr. Doe
At only 2 1/2 months old!

I am Erin Fitzpatrick and I have two loves in my life, showing dogs and raising and showing rabbits. Jeldamae Rabbity was founded just recently, in 2004. It is a small scale breeding program. Jeldamae is the first letters of the people in my family combined. I have had rabbits all my life and I have been showing in 4H for 4 years and I am soon to start ARBA shows. I started out having rabbits as pets from the pet stores and finding them for sale in the paper. Then after I joined 4H and learned about ARBA and showing rabbits, I wanted to start. My friends all did it in the club and it seemed fun, I also love showing dogs and showing the rabbits in the fair, so I thought why not do ARBA? I am excited to start as soon as I can. So, I bought a Netherland Dwarf doe, who was 2 years old with 2 GC legs. Her name was Connie, and she was actually my sister's. Anyway, I showed Connie at the fair and she won BOS out of 17 rabbits. I was ecstatic. But not long after the fair and not long after I planned to get her grand championship, she passed away. I was devastated and I got so attached to her. I decided I wanted another Himmi. I love the color and I don't see it at the fair. I just love it. So, I contacted my breeder and I got Honey Bear. Not long after, when I was planning to get another Netherland, my friend Jenna of Debonaire Cavies, told me about a Lionhead she has for sale. So I bought him after I fell in love with the Lionhead. I named him Mochalatto. Eventually, I bred the two and got 3 babies, 2 of which were born dead after Honey Bear had complications. So I was down to one little female. She was the start of Jeldamae Rabbity. I soon hope to get at least 2 more Netherland Dwarfs and at least 1 more Lionhead.
