Holly is the founder of Horse North Inc. She is one of the most incredible women I have ever met. She has a huge heart for animals and people. She always does what is best for the animal. She truly cares with no other motive than to really help.
She started out very early in horses. At 5 yrs. old her dad bought her a 2 yr. old Shetland pony stallion! YIKES! But, as she has said... "Well, he was all I had to ride... so I rode!"
Her experience and knowledge of horses is amazing! She has mentored and helped many horses and kids over the years. She has been doing rescue for over 15 years with all the costs coming out of her own pocket. It took a lot of determination on her part to get Horse North Inc. approved as a Michigan Non-Profit corporation.
Holly has many stories of horses she has had the privilege of helping. Some good... with happy endings... and some are very hard to hear for any animal lover. There have been many trips to Michigan State with horses over the years. Years of rescue, emergency care, nurturing, bonding, heartbreak and stories of miraculous recoveries both physically and emotionally involving many horses and ponies.
She has had a huge success rate with this $1 a year adoption/lease program. Happy horses and many happy adoptive/lease families! The horses are cared for and loved and people are being educated about horse care.
I believe there are horses in heaven & a lot of them will be thanking her for changing their lives here on earth! She is a blessing to many!
The 2005 Non-Profit status has opened the doors to what Horse North Inc. can do in the future. You'll be hearing and seeing a lot more of Horse North Inc. in the years to come.
