Willaim Henry Fox Talbot's Mother was Elisabeth Theresa Fox. She was a very intelligent and was interested in linguistics and politics. She has a profound effect upon Willaim. Willaim inherited his his mother's love for learning. She stayed very close to Willaim through her entire life.
William's father was Davenport Talbot. He was a military man who was often at sea. He died when William was 5 months old. Elisabeth remarried a man called Charles Feilding in 1804. He was Willaim's stepfather and was caring toward Willaim through te rest of his life.
He went to school at Cambridge University. There he got a Bachelors degree. After that, he traveled around Europe studying chemisrty, mathamatics, optics, and languages.
On 20 December 1832, he married Constance Mundy.
After that, he really focused on is work on the photographic calotype process.
