Is The Legend of the Loch Real?

For thousands of years, people have been reporting sightings of the Loch Ness Monster. There are also pictures, and video clips of what people believe to be Nessie. Because of this phenomenon, the peaceful Scottish town of Drumnadrochit has had tourists looking for a chance to see Nessie. Yet, in this day of technology, pictures and videos can be faked with the aid of computers. So how do we know that they weren't faked?
